This villa is spacious, very clean and brand new and has everything we required. The location whilst on the lower edge of Montalcino requires a steep walk up the hill and multiple steps, great to offset the extra calories gained with all the wonderful wine and food. Driving through the town to get to the villa is nerve racking if you are driving in a big car. The location is also wonderfully quiet and has a stunning outlook up to the town centre and into the valley and forest. The downsides were that the decor is not very homey, a few rugs would go a long way. The shower is spatially challenging and despite a number of room deoderisers in the house there was a strong cigarette smell throughout the house which permeated all our clothes. As non-smokers we were offended by this, particularly as the house rules restrict smoking. Despite these few issues, we wish we were back there!
