We will provide you with a map and additional information. Please be sure to arrive well before dark and pack lightly. The cabin is located in the heart of our 450 Acre land parcel which is surrounded by hundreds of acres of more wilderness. Your drinking water, a cooler with ice, propane for the four burner stove and furnace to keep you warm are all at the cabin. All you need is your clothes, bedding, and food. As mentioned, the cabin is off-the-grid, meaning there is no running water. However, there is a moderate solar power set up which is really just for lights. There is no WiFi however, there are a couple of bars cell reception at the cabin so you can usually squeeze text and email through. You will find reception on any of the 5 peaks. Enjoy the WiFi detox and connect with nature! There is a bathroom in the cabin with a modern Swedish made Eco toilet. The loft is made for two and is a super cozy spot to sleep. There is also a pull-out couch for two in the main room of the cabin. The back porch is a gem of a place to spend an afternoon/evening. Have a nap after hiking through the wilderness. Prepare a BBQ while overlooking the valley. Sleep under the stars. Oh, the stars!!! There is NO light and NO noise pollution in our night skies. The stars on a clear night are breathtaking. In fact, we are part of an organization that is working on making this region a Dark Sky Preserve recognized by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. The potential of this facility is vast. We are open to all kinds of group visits and gatherings that include our Stargate1 cabin and the magical sister yurt as well as camping options in the clearings surrounding the yurt.
