Welcome to the friendly neighborhood of Punta Esmeralda, right by the peaceful Playa Mantas in Costa Rica. This spot is special—it’s peaceful, beautiful, and it feels like a secret spot away from the busy world.

Imagine a quiet beach where the ocean gently rolls onto the warm sand, all under the shade of green trees and plants from the jungle close by. The water is calm and a pretty shade of blue that’s perfect for swimming, especially when the sun is shining bright.

Punta Esmeralda is close to the fun town of Jaco, but it’s calm and not crowded. It’s the perfect place for locals and smart travelers who want a chill beach vibe without too many tourists.

What’s around you:

⛱ Soft sandy beaches with small waves that are great for kids and anyone looking to chill.

⛱ It’s not far from San José, less than an hour by car, which is awesome for a quick beach trip.

Nature’s beauty:

⛱ Cool rocks along the shore make little pools where you can see tiny fish and other sea creatures.

⛱ There’s a green hill at one end of the beach that gives you some shade and looks amazing against the beach sights.

Things you need:

⛱ We recommend a vehicle, but if you cannot rent one there's taxis in the area, just make sure to ask them to leave you at the entrance of the building

⛱ If you want fresh fruits or to try some local food, there’s a market not too far from here.

Wildlife fun:

⛱ Keep an eye out for friendly white-faced monkeys! They love to hang around and might just come to say hi (just make sure they don’t run away with your snacks!).

Punta Esmeralda isn’t just a place to visit; it’s a whole vibe. It’s close to nature, it has a cool local feel, and it’s the perfect mix of quiet and convenient. The kind people who live here, the untouched beauty all around, and being able to get to modern stuff when you need it, makes Punta Esmeralda the perfect spot for a relaxing beach time.

To get to Punta Esmeralda, we recommend that you use your own vehicle or a rental car to make your mobilization easier. Uber and taxi services are not readily available in the area.
We are approximately 10 minutes by car from the main entrance. There are no restaurants nearby for you to take into account.

By Private Driver: Contact us and we can connect you with a private driver to drive you to the place and around if required.

By Car: You can drive to Punta Esmeralda (inside of Punta Leona) by taking the road that leads to the Central Pacific, less than 60 minutes west of San José. Once you reach Playa Mantas, a beautiful golden sand beach surrounded by 7 hectares of forest, you will find Punta Esmeralda. (We highly recommend this option)

By Public Transportation: You can take a bus or shuttle service that goes to the Central Pacific region. Get off at Playa Mantas and from there, it's just a short walk to Punta Esmeralda.

By Taxi: You can hire a taxi service to take you directly to Punta Esmeralda. Just provide the address and the driver will take you there. (We do recommend using Uber if possible)
