*History & Culture*
Make sure to reserve at least a few days to visit and learn more about London’s deep history and cultural landmarks. Indulge yourself in the royal intrigue of Kensington Palace, the birthplace of Queen Victoria and the famed residence of many British monarchs over the past several hundreds of years. We also recommend checking out the iconic Big Ben clocktower, along with other recognizable attractions such as Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, and St. Paul’s Cathedral. Plus, learn more about London’s humble beginnings at the Museum of London; from its prehistoric time as a Roman settlement all the up to the modern era.
Some attractions closer to the apartment include TripAdvisor’s popular Bethlem Museum of the Mind. Dive into the complexities of how the human brain functions and understand the causes and cures of mental illness, as well as ways to promote mindfulness. If you are feeling more ambitious, definitely plan a visit to Chislehurst caves, an underground network of tunnels dug out in the 13th and 14th centuries to obtain flint and lime-burning chalk. Other notable mentions include the award-winning Eltham Palace, Horniman Museum and Gardens, and Dulwich Picture Gallery.
