Relax in this colourful, spacious and comfortable space. Take in the wonderful view of Lake Wanaka and the surrounding mountains from the lounge, bedroom or balcony. Contemplate all the possibilities for local dining and adventure in this cosy haven and then head out to enjoy, knowing you will return to a refreshing sanctuary. 17 min walk into town, 25 min walk back or a 5 min drive. Nothing in Wanaka is far away. Off street parking and a quiet location make exploring and retreating a breeze. The Perch is a private standalone bedsit above our garage , there are no kitchen or cooking facilities. It is comprised of a lovely spacious lounge with aircon and fireplace, dining and desk area that opens onto a deck with a wonderful view. There is a comfy super king sized bed in a seperate bedroom with a wardrobe for storage. The bathroom with great shower opens off both the bedroom with a sliding pocket door ensuite style and the lounge room. There is a fridge, toaster and kettle provided and any dishes must be done in the bathroom sink or basin provided. The Perch is ideal for people who want spacious comfort and a fabulous view but are happy to mostly eat out. Basic dishes and tea and coffee and coffee plunger supplied.

The Perch was a beautiful spot! It’s perfect for 2 people and it’s located right next to a walking path into town. The ambience of the home coupled with the views was spectacular. Gabrielle was super welcoming and was an amazing host. I’d recommend this spot to any couples traveling to Wanaka!

Fabulous view and location next to local walking tracks with easy access to town. The space is inviting and comfortable, clean and quiet. The hosts were generous and friendly, but respected our privacy. Would recommend this accommodation to others. Thanks Gabby and Chris for the wonderful stay.
Gabrielle was a pleasure to meet and to work with. Her place is well appointed, pleasantly decorated, and very comfortably sized for the two of us. The views of the mountains and lake were stunning!

The Perch backs onto the ridge line that has a public pathway/ cycleway running to the Sticky Forrest mountain biking area. We are in a quiet neighbourhood on a cul de sac street up a right of way. You can not see our home from the street. We are 5 mins walk from an organic grocer and a 7 min walk from b.effect craft brewery and restaurant. Wanaka town centre itself is a pleasant 20 minute walk away or a quick drive.

Walk to the Lake Wanaka in 17mins.
