From one host to another Mike and Heidi’s place was a please to stay in. Very clean, quiet, and in a great location. They were very responsive and helpful with anything I needed, including places to eat, shop, and the different excursions Punta Cana had to offer. Would definitely stay again.
The best host I've stayed with in my 10 years of using Airbnb. The apartment is amazing and has everything you need. Comfy bed, super clean, I enjoyed the porch and the little yard. The beach is only 8 min away, restaurants about 5 min and a big supermarket 8 min. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. They sent me wonderful recommendations for restaurants, pharmacies, beaches, supermarkets etc. They also helped with the airport transfer. Really recommend this spot. Had an amazing vacation.

The Cortecito area of Bavaro gets its name from the small mass of beach 🏖 area that sticks out and is locally known and Punta El Cortecito (Cortecito Point).
It is a relatively small, beach, tourist, and residential 🏠 area where you will see kids 👦🏻 👧🏻 walking 🚶🏼♀️home from school alongside tourists enjoying the laid-back 😎 atmosphere, and locals 👋🏼 making their way to their destination.
We highly recommend walking to any of the local restaurants, bars, coffee shops that are sprinkled throughout this region.
The bulk of the region exists between the beach shore and Avenida Alemania (German Avenue). In our listing pics you can see you can walk around it all in about 30 minutes.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
We can schedule airport pick up and drop off for you so you will have a trusted chauffeur waiting for you upon your arrival in Punta Cana. The driver will meet you with a sign featuring your name to help you identify them. This is door to door service that will take you directly to your accommodations so you can engage vacation mode ASAP.
For departures, we should schedule your pick up 3 hours in advance so you can ride comfortably and worry-free back to the airport. You'll have plenty of time to check in and stay relaxed during your journey back home.
The cost is $31 each way.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
LOCAL BUS
The bus passes by on the main road just one block from the condo about every 20-30 minutes. This is a local bus that will take you to different points on the east coast of the country with connections to other destinations. Local rides cost RD$30 per person.
EXPRESO BAVARO FROM SANTO DOMINGO
The express bus from Santo Domingo stops one block from the condo. Make sure to tell them you will be getting off at the Hotel Vista Sol. Then simply walk one block south (the opposite direction in which the bus came) and make your first right. Palm Suites is the second residential building on the left hand side of the street.
EXPRESO BAVARO TO SANTO DOMINGO

If you're going to Santo Domingo, the stop is at FRIUSA Center. The Local Bus (see above) can take you to FRIUSA Center which is about a 10 minute drive north from the condo. Cost is RD$400 per person and departures on both end are at 7am, 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm.

ABOUT US My wife and I teamed up 20+ years ago and never looked back. We were born in the Dominican Republic. She's from Bonao. I'm from the capital city of Santo Domingo. We went to college and met in the Boston metro area, and now south Florida is our home, but we go to Dominican Republic every chance we get. We design and build our spaces so you won't need us, but if you do, we and our team are just a phone call away. Our friends like to say: Mike makes it work. Heidi makes it pretty. We have a dedicated team on call to assist you if you need any of our spaces serviced.
