My Sister & The Sea is a 1950's weatherboard cottage transported from Sweden. Our family has fallen in love with this house and area, and are pleased to be able to continue the legacy of two very special sisters! Come and swim in front of shipwrecks, laze on the deck, do jigsaw puzzles, read on the day beds, immerse yourself in nature and explore Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park. Winters are ideal for spending time by the fire reading, drinking wine & napping in the French linen sheets... My Sister & The Sea is a three bedroom cottage with two queen size bedrooms and a twin single bedroom. There's a country farmhouse table, charming full size kitchen plus breakfast bar for perching. Cosy combustion fireplace by the daybeds. Outdoor dining on a large covered deck, sandpit for kids, fire pit for you and it leads to an exterior plywood clad chill space for reading, games and lounging. Staying at My Sister and the Sea was a long awaited trip and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The house and styling is just amazing, like a magazine picture come to life. But also Pia and Brett went the extra mile with a warm welcome surprises for us and the kids. We truely had an amazing 4 days unplugged playing ocean bingo (a fav for all of us) and exploring all that the national park had to offer, but with the luxury of heading back to a beautiful home at the end of the day. I really can’t wait to visit again. Thank you so much for allowing us in your beautiful home.
Pia and Brett were very thoughtful and responsive hosts who made us feel right at home. We loved our stay in Marion Bay and the house was very cosy and well-located. We would definitely love to return here on a future trip.
Wow. Our first visit to Yorke Peninsula, we had friends visiting from interstate and thought why not head out to Marion bay for the weekend. The house is gorgeous and instantly made us all feel like we were on holiday. It has a unique charm, with a nostalgic feeling of the perfect beach holiday. The rooms were spacious and great linen, comfy beds. Clean Bathroom, great kitchen with all the equpiment you need and a really thoughtful welcome note and even a gift for our dog Gwen! We loved sitting outside eating a meal together and drinking wine watching the birds. It was the perfect place for a fantastic very memorable weekend catching up with good friends. Thank you.
Thank you so much for our stay. We had a wonderful few days away with our fur baby, Bella. It was the perfect location to get away, out of the city and relax. Upon arrival we received a little welcome gift, which was incredibly thoughtful and a lovely surprise, Bella absolutely loved her welcome treats too! Couldn’t recommend more.
We had the most beautiful stay here! The attention to detail was incredible, and Pia and Brett went above and beyond to help with our stay. My Sister & The Sea is located in the township of Marion Bay on the Yorke Peninsula. Marion Bay is a small seaside town consisting of a tavern, bar and restaurant, and general store. Newspapers, bread and milk are not consistently available, so bring everything you need to give yourself the holiday you deserve. We are a short walk to many beautiful beaches. Feel like surfing, kayaking, fishing, paddling in calm waters or discovering your own private secluded beach? All this and more is why we have fallen in love with this place. Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park is a quick drive up the road and is a protected area of incredible beauty. A national park pass is included in your stay!
You will definitely require a car to get around in Marion Bay as there is no local transport. You will also require a car to fully explore Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, we will have a park pass available for you to pop on your dashboard for your trips into the National Park and save you the usual day fee.

Brett and I live in Adelaide with our two children. We are passionate about sustainability, great design, spending time in nature and taking time to connect and slow down. Brett's childhood holidays were quintessential Aussie road trips to quaint country towns; Pia's involved visiting family overseas - sometimes in their Swedish summerhouses. We have fallen in love with this blend of our memories, My Sister & the Sea, we hope you love it too!
