Fantastic location right on the beach. Lots of thoughtful touches from the host including welcome supplies of tea, coffee, milk and bread. Everything clearly labelled too. It's a small cottage as in the description and very well equipped with everything you would need. The location is ideal for exploring the stunning north coast of Donegal.

We had the most wonderful week in this fabulous cottage. Traditional with modern twists. It is pristine, well equipped with a detailed manual and everything is labelled. It was perfect for a multi generational family - myself, husband, 2 kids of 4 & 6 and my parents in their 70’s. There is ample crockery, towels, cleaning equipment & toiletries. They have thought of everything. I packed far too much that was not needed! The location is perfect for the beach. What a luxury to be so close - the kids had a run round the beach each night before bed. Lots to do in the area. For the kids they loved Ards National Park with a playground & beach & coffee shop. Glenveagh - get the shuttle bus the 4km to the castle so they have the energy once they get there. Cocoon sauna is a must too which is on the Portnablagh pier which can be viewed from the cottage. I hope anyone who stays here enjoys some magical sunsets as we did. We’ve already asked Brian when we can come back!

We stayed here Easter weekend, and we were not disappointed. The cottage was absolutely beautiful, everything you could possibly need, and more, the cottage was immaculate, beds so cozy. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, and homemade bread and homemade jam waiting for us, which I thought was a lovely kind gesture. The cottage is directly in front of the beach. Brian and Carol kept in contact from the moment we booked and even after we got home from our stay. I would without a doubt give this place 10 out of 10, and we most definitely will be going back to stay there.

Our family had a brilliant time at Carol and Brian's house. They were very helpful, suggesting things to do in the area. The house was perfect, no issues at all, and the fantastic location right on the beach was perfect for us. We will definitely be back. A little gem!

The location of this house is amazing, literally 10 steps from the main Portnablagh beach and the views it has as a result are breathtaking. Because it’s so close we took frequent walks on the beach while our kids just played on the rocks and in the sand. We even braved the cold March sea everyday we were there! The house was very clean and tidy and everything we needed was available. Carol’s instructions were very clear. The house is compact but perfectly comfortable. Bed linen, towels etc were like new & spotless. The house has a nice traditional feel to it but has modern touches such as Alexa controlled (by old radio) music, heating & lighting which makes it very easy to operate things. The Cove restaurant was a short walk away but the open fire was so cosy we stayed in every night and just got a takeaway from nearby Dunfanaghy. We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend Carol’s house
