Cracker Cow Cottages consist of charming cottages situated in the river district of downtown Ft. Myers, Florida. This property holds historical significance as it sits on what was once the cattle run of the Heritage Breed Cracker Cows. Just one street away Cracker Cowboys would guide their stock to Punta Rassa. There the cattle were loaded onto ships for Cuba. Our cottages seamlessly blend modern amenities with a nod to the rich history of old Florida and allowing you a location to walk to city! Each cottage is a 1 bedroom , 1 bath unit. They each have fully stocked kitchens, living areas with wide screen T.V.'s and high speed internet. There is private outdoor space for each unit and a shared garden courtyard with grill, fire pit, and seating for lounging.

Michelle’s place was absolutely immaculate. I can’t find anything wrong with this place. It had absolutely everything we needed for our weekend getaway. My husband and I enjoyed the lovely restaurants that were walking distance. There was a street fair one night it was great. Clean, and beautiful just like the photos. Very quiet neighborhood. Would definitely come again. Michelle thank you for being such Gracious host! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This cottage is amazing! It was so well appointed, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Everything was top notch. The bedding, the amenities, the welcome package, and thoughtful items like starter pack for laundry. It is obvious that Michelle the host took pains to think of everything to make your stay excellent. Check in was a breeze and the guide book in the cottage was helpful. The location is perfect! I cannot drive at night so being able to walk to downtown with so many dining choices was ideal. Be sure to check out the Hanging Gardens next door. Neighborhood was quiet. For those with mobility issues the two front stairs are big ones with no handrail. The description does say not suitable for the infirm or elderly which I'd say is accurate. However the stairs are probably doable with a helping hand or cane for support as long as you are very careful. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I'll be back!
I really liked the cottage! It feels great in there and I appreciated the effort and cost of making it a really nice place to stay. On top of that, Michelle has been my favorite host so far out of maybe 10-12 different Airbnb stays. She was really personable and responsive.
Michelle's accommodation was just like in the pictures. The furnishings were very high quality down to the last detail and even the kitchen had everything you needed to cook. The location is absolutely brilliant, quiet and yet central to the best restaurants and sights. There is even a great sunset spot right on the doorstep. We can recommend this accommodation without reservation and will be back.

The neighborhood around The Cracker Cow is mixed use. You are in walking distance of shopping, restaurants, museums, etc.. So much to do! You are also a short car drive to many beaches. There is local bus and tram transportation as well.
Getting around
We have free parking on property with 1 vehicle per cottage. There is public parking less than a couple blocks away in parking garages. You will find walking will be the best fit because you are so close to everything!
