Clean, comfortable, just what I was looking for in a mountain getaway.
Juliana is an excellent host! All of her recommendations were spot-on…. If you have someone in your party that is learning to ski, this is the best location in the Tahoe area for novice to intermediate skiers. And, the locals in the area are incredibly accommodating to visitors…
Excellent apartment, exactly as described. My son and I stayed there so he could take a ski lesson and Tahoe Donner, and the convenience of being steps away from the lifts was unbeatable. The queen bed was very comfy, and the small kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay. Julianna was very helpful and proactive as a host. I would definitely want to stay there again if we come back next winter!
Great place to stay! My friend and I are t a couple of nights at Julianna's cozy abode and we were kept warm and comfortable throughout our stay! We were mainly there to snowboard at the Downhill resort and the location was just so convenient. Julianna was super responsive and was flexible enough to accommodate a couple of our requests during our stay - thank you Julianna!
This place was perfect for what I needed. The location was convenient, updated interior, clean, and more affordable than other options in the area.

Historic town of Truckee with its downtown area only a short drive away has great shops, restaurants, and live bands.
30 minute drive to Nevada State line.
Downhill & Cross-Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Hiking, Biking, Water Sports and many other activities around Lake Tahoe are just a short distance away.
Tahoe Donner is also conveniently located within a 20 to 30-minute drive to the other popular Tahoe winter resorts like; Squaw Valley (16.4mi), Alpine Meadows (18.8mi), Northstar (15.8mi), Palisades (15.8mi), Sugarbowl (12.2mi), and Boreal Ridge (12.9mi)
The base elevation is 6720'. If you don't have a four wheel drive vehicle, please carry chains. Please visit the Caltrans quickmap website for up to date chain regulations and road conditions during the winter months. Also, there is a 10% grade on Northwoods Boulevard as you head up to Tahoe Donner; you can avoid this steep section of the road by taking an alternate route via Highway 89 to Alder Creek Road.
There is free permit parking (included in rental) on the property.
