This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. One of the oldest properties in the small town of Kirkintilloch, The Cottage is located directly in the town centre providing easy access to all the local amenities in a unique and cosy property. Easy access to Glasgow ( only 8 min by train!), Stirling and Edinburgh by train or bus! Complete with a wood stove, a secure garden for your furry friends and dedicated parking ! A cosy cottage that was originally part of the Westermains Farm built 375 years ago. Downstairs is the living area, kitchen, bathroom and Bedroom 1 ( which has a wood burning stove ). Upstairs is bedroom 2 which is accessed by a spiral staircase. The garden is accessed by a back door or a gate that goes out to the main road via a paved path. Dedicated parking is around the back of the building where there is one assigned spot and 4 visitor spaces. ( there is also a small parking area at the foot of the paved path that is free parking.
Quaint little cottage with great views to the rear, eapecially from the Velux window on top floor. Shops around 5 minutes from the address as well as several pubs and restaurants in same locus. Frequent public transport to Glasgow and/or to train station for more distant locations. Parking, don't follow postcode to address as parking is around the back, but clear instructions sent before arrival. Would stay again if in the area.
Had a lovely stay over Easter with a 4 year old and our dog. It's a great location for a base for exploring Scotland, we have family in Glasgow and Fife and found the drive to both very easy. The cottage was very cosy to come back to after days out. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. Beds super comfy. Cottage has a lovely homely feel to it.
Lovely little cottage, nice and clean and had everything for our stay. Michaela was amazing at responding both before our stay and during, and so helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better host!
Lovely little cottage, had everything we needed. Very comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. The carpark was tricky to find- make sure to check the photos on the check-in instructions before you arrive. Michaela was at the end of the phone to help with any issues. Would highly recommend
One of the oldest parts of Kirkintilloch, located just off the main high street and directly across the road from Peel Park. The park is large and was the original spot of the ancient roman fort, great for the dogs and the kids as it has a large play area as well.
Easy walking distance to the local supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and local shops.
In addition the property is just down the road from The Auld Kirk Museum and the public library.
The property has its own assigned parking spot to the back of the building and also has some spare spaces available for guests.
Bus links are within 5 min walking distance for Glasgow ( 25 min into city centre via X85 or X87 which run every 15 min )and also the local towns .
Train station (Lenzie Station) is 1.2 miles away ( 2 stops / 8 min into Glasgow city centre)with ample parking on both sides of the station.

Hello I live outside ofGlasgow, Scotland. We love going walking and exploring this beautiful country we live in but also love going abroad for wee sunny getaways too. Very into the outdoors and travelling. Love using Air BNB as we’ve met loads of lovely hosts.
