This charming property, situated on the owner’s grounds overlooking an orchard, is the perfect little hideaway for four. Sleeping you in two peaceful bedrooms, this converted barn is an opportunity to rest and unwind away from the stresses of busy life. Spend the morning at Widemouth Bay (6 miles), surfing or exploring the rock pools, or head off down the traffic-free Cornish Way cycle route that passes right near the property. Enter the barn through the front door down six steps or via the garden patio doors for wheelchair access. A contemporary open-plan living area makes use of all the available space, with a comfortable sofa to lounge on and a sleek kitchen that fits in well under the staircase. Pull across the folding doors to the kitchen in the evenings to make it cosier. Huge floor-to-ceiling windows flood the area with light, offering wonderful views of the garden and orchard from the dining table; make sure you take advantage of the dining furniture outside when it’s sunny. A pretty twin room with quaint decor is on the ground floor along with a stylish wet room with beautiful tiles. Up the winding oak open-tread staircase, the double bedroom invites you to snuggle between the sheets among wood panelling, calming neutral tones and a vaulted ceiling. Head off to Tamar Lakes (8.5 miles) where you can go walking, cycling or birdwatching; the activity centre offers water sports for thrill seekers. The Milky Way Adventure Park (17 miles) is a fantastic family day out, while more sedate groups might prefer to wander around the village of Clovelly (18 miles).
