First of all, Ze is a fantastic host - she's like a fascinating distant relative who welcomes you at her place and tells you all the interesting things to see and do. She runs a little shop a couple of blocks away, so we made a point to visit with her multiple times to learn about Sintra and hear her interesting stories. Such a lovely host, and very responsive when we needed something. Her apartment was in a perfect location right down a hill from the main town square but still very quiet and private. (Note that there are two ways to approach the apartment, but both involve stairs.) We highly recommend Ze's place for a proper Sintra experience.

This place is a gem in Sintra! Close to everything and arrived at by charming little streets and passages! It’s also very well equipped and very quiet. Ze gave us great advice and tips for how to spend our time in Sintra. A nice touch…we found fresh pastries from Perrequita on our arrive. It’s well worth the effort to get to this place.
