Lots of space for the family to gather, and to be alone. Tons of outdoor exploration options, and a great chance to get away from it all. We had a lovely chance to just be together for a bit, which was just what we needed. Super solid building with nice renovation. The fireplace was very cozy and the towels were super fluffy.
The location is gorgeous, and the lodge fit my group perfectly. It was close enough to great biking trails that we didn't have to pack up our bikes on the car, though we probably would if we wanted to bike up at Timberline. When we got back it was great to be able to just put them in the shed -- secure storage for the win! We absolutely loved how nestled in the trees the lodge is, and all the little details from when it was built about a hundred years ago made it feel special, much more so than a condo. But with wifi, streaming on the tv, smart speaker, new appliances--perfect blend of rustic and modern. We're looking forward to coming back in the winter with our snow gear!
This lodge is peaceful, tranquil, well kept, and beautiful. I had a perfect getaway. It has a classic vibe that blends really well, being nestled in a lush forest near Mt. Hood. I'll be bringing my family next time, as it's also very family friendly, with very easy access for all kinds of outdoor fun. It also has all the modern amenities. I got quick responses to my questions and requests. Shame I can't come here every weekend! This would be a great stay in any season.
Magical! Set in the privacy of huge old-growth trees, it’s an amazingly restored mountain lodge with 21st century updates. The beautiful wood interior, river rock fireplace, original touches and historic photos are simply enchanting. And just a few minutes from the golf course-shopping area. It had something for everyone-big, well equipped kitchen/dining area; bar; media room with gaming connection for the kids (nice!) and puzzles and games. We hung out by the fireplace in the living room while the boys watched a movie upstairs. The beds were very comfortable, towels fluffy and it’s well stocked with lots of thoughtful touches and storage for our bikes that’s heated and lockable (brilliant). The kids messed about in the creek and came in muddy, but there are cleanup rags and laundry. My favorite thing: Morning coffee on the unique covered porch swing with the sound of the Salmon River. Our roadtrip overnight turned out to be a real find! We’ll be back for mountain biking/ golf season.
