The Atrsy Cottage is a gem. Feels like staying in a woodworkers and crafts gallery! Quite enchanting. It is very private and has a lovely fenced deck with cafe table off the kitchen which was nice for our pooch to hang out on as well as us. Careful and beautiful design is what this place is all about with crafted everything -- including clawfoot bath tub with custom fixtures and curtains so don't be looking for a walk in modern shower but rather a step back in time. Same with the copper fixtures at each sink and the tile and custom cabinet work everywhere! Quiet, peaceful setting and super comfy bed. Hope to come back! Margaret was really helpful with directing us to local doggie day care for our pooch while we were at plays - highly recommend that place too! R&R Dogcare Kitchen is well appointed for eating at the cottage too. Valuable because it is 20+ min into Ashland . Walk the Grizzly Peak Trail up the road ~3 miles! GORGEOUS!!!

This cabin is beautiful -full of incredible wood, metal and fabric art. You can just sit there and notice new details your whole trip. The setting is georgeous and sitting/eating on the large deck is a treat. We did not meet Margaret but Tom was very welcoming but allowed us our privacy, which was lovely. It’s about 7 miles outside of Ashland and close to good hiking. The only downsides were the very beautiful but deeply impractical kitchen faucet/counters and the barking dogs across the valley. Overall, it was a great stay and thank you to Tom and Margaret for bringing so much beauty into this world.

The Arty Cottage is a very special place. It is like being in an art gallery yet homey and comfortable. The hosts were great and most helpful. The location is about a 15 minute scenic drive outside of Ashland. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed beyond comfy, it is very clean and the deck is a wonderful place to hang out. We look forward to our next visit.
