Terrible stay. We had to end our stay short due to the dirty conditions of the apartment. (My breaking point was the used bandaid stuck to the knives in the utensils drawer!) Would not recommend! Day one of arrival we discovered left over food and drinks found in the dirty refrigerator and I returned to them Virginia. The house was not prepared in advance for us to stay. The shower had leftover shampoo bottles and a used bar of soap, which paying $200 a night, I would not have expected. We tried to go out on the back deck later that night and we had to get a lecture by Virginia on closing the door properly and stacking the chairs if we decided to sit down. Day two I went to get a knife out the utensil drawer and instead got a used bandaid stuck to my hand that was left in the drawer! My husband went to get me another knife because I was so upset about the bandaid, and the next two knives had food encrusted on them! All the dishes and utensils were filthy. A cleaning was not done on this place and I felt extremely uncomfortable, thinking Covid germs could be left everywhere due to the lack of not cleaning. I had allergies the entire time because the place smells of cat, and saw gobs of cat hair rolling around in the apartment. Airbnb was wonderful in helping me shorten my stay due to the unsanitary conditions.

For those looking for a rustic pioneer like experience this may be the place for you. No wifi or AC, place rather dusty, stay away if you have dust allergies. Unwelcoming host.

Rustic and very historical. Completely functional and comfortable with amazing old fashion flair. Peaceful and quiet to appreciate the nature and animals on the premises.
