In this coveted corner position within a charming cottage community, you'll have a 270-degree view of evergreen mountains, rugged bluffs, and mighty ocean waves rolling onto the shore. This two-story cottage sits atop a coastal bluff, with a large grassy area out front and a long staircase leading down to the beach. It's a memorable setting for a bit of blissful solitude, a romantic escape, or a small-family vacation spent tidepooling and whale watching. The area is a joy to explore, with Cape Perpetua (three miles), Thor's Well (three miles), Yachats' shops and galleries (six miles), Heceta Head Lighthouse (seven miles), and the Sea Lion Caves (eight miles) close by. The view is the star of the show here, with a rear wall of glass framing the ocean out back. Whether you're cooking with stainless steel kitchen appliances or working on a puzzle at the table, you can keep one eye open for whale spouts on the horizon. Marvel at nightly sunsets from a seat on your private porch and spend your evenings watching movies (on cable, DVD, or streaming services with your own accounts) beneath vaulted ceilings. At night, choose between a bedroom on the main floor and a sleeping loft upstairs (accessed via a spiral staircase). There's no air conditioning, but fans are provided to circulate the ocean breeze. My husband and I enjoyed our getaway to this lovely home. The location was private and quiet, with our own access to the beach. This place allowed us to truly relax from all the hustle and bustle of city living. greatly appreciate Vacasa for provided such an amazing location and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful paradise for a much needed reset!
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, answering all of our questions and ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the breathtaking views of the ocean right from our window. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the waves was truly magical, and we spent many peaceful moments just taking it all in. The beach access was conveniently located and offered a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We appreciated the tranquility and privacy of the area, making it the perfect spot for relaxation and rejuvenation. As for the accommodations themselves, we found the place to be cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches. It had everything we needed for a memorable stay. We are already dreaming of our next stay!
Communication was horribly unclear both before and after checking in. Only the door code was sent and no other instructions. They want you to sign up for some separate portal outside Airbnb. The path to the beach is locked, and no additional code was provided for this. There was also no communication about how to lock the keypad door behind us. We had to contact Vacasa support to get the codes and additional instructions. I wouldn’t have been surprised if we were the first guests at this listing if the pots and pans weren’t already dirty/not clean. Calling or texting their support team from the location is difficult until you connect to their WiFi and have WiFi calling enabled on your cell phone. Additionally no checkout instructions were provided. The process should have been seamless but unfortunately it was painful and tedious. A hotel would have been a lot better. I strongly recommend against booking this rental, as the host is completely thoughtless about their guest experience
