Outdated, old, stairs are not up to code and unsafe and dangerous. Front step is soft. House needs major updating. Carpet upstairs old and musty. Overall, place is inadequate in so many areas. Very disappointed. Would never reserve again. Ever.

The Painted Lady is an excellent find in Leadville! Just a block from Harrison Ave! The house had a well stocked kitchen and the space felt like a home, for all the guests. The host was very proactive in communicating from the day of booking, checked in closer to the reservation dates, and to ensure the home was comfortable. I will definitely look for this option in the future.

The home was clean, warm and cozy. It was the perfect place for our large family to stay for our ski getaway.

Beware that the host will ask you to sign a contract OUTSIDE of the airbnb platform 24h prior to arrival. They also tried to get me to pay my pet fee on a separate website so they would have my CC info and could use it to charge any of their 'contract breaches' (including $50 per dog poop you dont pick up). I contacted airbnb who confirmed you DO NOT need to sign this contract and should NOT pay anything on a separate website. The host did not let me bypass this until airbnb contacted them separately. This all happened the night before check in and was very frustrating since we were worried they may cancel our reservation. It was very unprofessional and clearly against airbnb's terms and conditions. Lastly, OUR CAR GOT TOWED, even though we parked in front as directed. When we told the host they 'apologized for the inconvenience' and agreed that we shouldn't have gotten towed. They should have paid our towing fee as we followed their instructions which were clearly incorrect.
