While we are fewer than 10 minutes from downtown Gig Harbor and its many attractions, we are still in the country. We are a short drive to Kopachuck State Park (trails on the Puget Sound), Sehmel Homestead Park (walking trails, basketball courts, pickleball and tennis courts, and playgrounds), and McCormick Forest (hiking/walking trails). Many people enjoy walking and running on the shoulders of our road (as there are very few sidewalks). There are occasional wildlife sightings - mainly deer. It truly is a safe area.
There are no buses which come near our home (except for the school buses). Our area is somewhat hilly, so walking into town would take close to an hour. Driving is your best bet!

I love the outdoors - especially when mountains and rivers are involved. Being outdoors -- hiking, gardening, and enjoying my animals--is something I thoroughly enjoy. My husband and grown-up kids make life fun and interesting! My granddaughter is precious! I find other people's life stories fascinating.
