We booked this listing a year ago and have been dreaming many months about what it would be like to bring my family here for the first time to climb and enjoy everything about a new culture. We couldn’t have asked for a better location ( walking distance to incredible crags!) and such beautiful accommodations. The views and access to swimming in the ocean are indeed notable and the pictures don’t do it justice. Being out of town and at the end of a road made it feel very private and special. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Betty helped us ahead of time, Mike even picked us up from the airport (an early pick up at 7am!) since we could check in early. This is our first time on Kalymnos and we fell in love. This villa added to the experience with it’s incredible views, spacious deck space, pool, sea access etc. The view in the morning with a tea in hand, or the view at sunset with a wine, was pure bliss. We had originally planned to eat more at the villa but the proximity to so many wonderful and reasonably priced restaurants with the most lovely people, that we chose to explore instead. Having a means of transportation like ATV (what we did) is advisable to explore the island, but also the drive to Masouri is super quick and easy (one road) for dinners, but just a bit far to walk home after. Our 18 year old son loved it as well. We were all sad to go and indeed plan to return to this villa and island.

AN ABSOLUTE GEM! This was our fourth time visiting the island of Kalymnos, but our first time staying at The Villa at Kastelli Bay. The views from the property blew us away and the sunsets from the home were stunning. A highlight of this property is the stairs leading to the ocean where you’ll find a platform with attached umbrellas and a ladder. Taking a dip in the salty water from this area is an MUST DO! Betty was a great communicator and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Mikes, the care-taker, introduced us to the property and brought us local treats. We enjoyed cooking at the house as well as dining out. I highly recommend renting a car, scooter, or ATV so that you can explore all parts of the island. We rented a scooter for our entire stay so that we could drive to different climbing crags as well as restaurants in the area. An overall incredible experience to be tucked away amongst such beauty. We cannot wait to return to Kastelli Bay!

We had a fantastic family vacation at Betty's villa on Kalymnos! The house is incredible - everything from the quality of the building, the thoughtfulness of the lighting and equipment, the view (!!), the bedrooms, the pool, the access to the ocean as well as the hosts (Betty, Mikes and Irene) is simply outstanding. The communication is so smooth, and we were even picked up in the port by Mikes who helped us with the car rental and took us to the house - and he was responsive during the week with tips and answers to anything. Excellent! There is just a short walk to the local town where you find a couple of nice restaurants and bars for a sunset drink - but we mostly enjoyed preparing our own food on the amazing terrace and enjoying the best view of the island, which must definitely be from this house. We hope to return some day in the future!
