This apartment is situated in Punda and, together with Otrobanda ('The Other Side') which is located to the west of the Sint Annabay, forms the historic downtown of Willemstad. The eighteenth-century houses along the Handelskade on the Sint Annabay in Punda are frequently photographed.
In Punda, you'll find the Mikvé Israël-Emanuel Synagogue, dating back to 1732, which is the oldest synagogue in the Western Hemisphere to have been continuously in use. There is also a Jewish museum associated with it.
The Postal Museum is housed in the oldest building in the district, dating back to 1693, which was completely renovated in the 1990s.
The Protestant Fort Church near Fort Amsterdam dates back to 1769. There is also a museum located here.
Also within walking distance you will find the Pietermaai districit. This area is also known for its vibrant nightlife, with many of its establishments offering live music, DJ sets, and special events. Additionally, the district is home to several beautiful beaches, making it a popular spot for both relaxation and entertainment.
