LIVING AREA The spacious open floor plan exudes impeccable style with European white oak flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a gas fireplace wall with custom millwork. Remarkable new artwork throughout adds to the allure. Mix drinks at the sleek bar area, outfitted with wine and beverage fridges, as well as an ice maker. Additional highlights include a 75” smart TV, a queen sleeper sofa, and remote-controlled blackout curtains. NOTE: This is not a ski in and ski out location as advertised!! This is my first time writing a negative review and I’m disappointed to do so as I have given the host ample time to work with me to resolve. Unfortunately, my request for a conversation with a decision maker (vs a customer service rep who gives canned responses has been ignored.) First, the good: very clean, very nice location with helpful staff onsite. The small issues: the management company’s communication team gave me incorrect information of four separate occasions. Just blatantly wrong and counter to the emails they had sent. It created some confusion and delays and led us to make some less than ideal decisions about logistics. Small potato stuff, and probably not worth noting outside the context of their false advertising. The place has a header advertisement of Ski In and Ski Out. I was concerned it was not true ski in and ski out and so before booking I contacted the host mgt company who first gave me ridiculously wrong information and upon further inquiry assured me it was ski in and ski out by giving me the number of steps from the condo to the sunrise lift features in the photographs. This was important to me bc we were bringing 6 kids along with grandparents and we did not want to haul skis and ski boots hundred of yards. I chose this location because I was assured it was ski in and ski out. Upon confirmation from the host, which I received in writing, I canceled another location and booked this one. When we arrived the sunrise lift was not running. I was disappointed, but knew there was the risk snow conditions might limit which lifts were open. However, on Day 2 we discovered that although the lift was not working the slope was open and you could in fact ski in. However it was not ski out. The walk from the condo to the red Gondola in the village was roughly 275 yards and another 100 yards to ski school and the orange bubble lift. Not bad for healthy adults, but quite challenging when trying to get 6 adults and 2 grandparents out there carrying skis while wearing ski boots. We did this twice a day, every day and were usually winded and sweaty by the time we arrived. After realizing on the second day the slopes were open to allow ski in I again gave the mgt company the benefit of the doubt and wrote it off as COVID or a temporary mechanical issue. Unfortunately, on our final day the ski valet staff at the building who worked literally 50 feet from the lift informed us that the lift had not been open for years at that the resort would not be opening the lift again ever — instead it would build a new lift there in a few years. This was confirmed with a second staff member on property. Upon contacting the mgt company to explain the situation, I received an apology message empathizing with my frustration regarding the misleading advertising (misleading was their word here), thanking me for letting them know, and assuring me they would make a “note” in the file. C’mon man. I estimate the premium I paid for ski in and ski out to be about $5,000 or around 30% of the booking. I responded to the host and was ignored and escalated the situation to AirBnb. The host has offered a token $500 refund, but so far has ignored my request for a conversation with someone that is not reading a canned response. Turnkey - if you are reading this, my invitation for a conversation to better understand your position is still on the table. Perhaps it was a dated ad and old pictures. Perhaps they didn’t know. Perhaps there is another logical explanation. But the fact that I confirmed the location as ski out in writing prior to booking combined with the poor communication record of the mgt company combined with an unwillingness to engage in any real dialogue here is not a good look. At best this mgt company and listing is misleading. At worst, it’s an intentional play to jack up prices knowing good and well it is not ski out. If this listing has not been changed from advertising ski in and ski out In the heading then a reasonable person could easily conclude the latter. Perhaps you don’t care about ski in and ski out and this is still the location for you. But, do you want to bank your vacation on a mgt company that responds the way to a issue this group did? If so, triple check everything you are told through the text and phone help lines. Hate leaving this. Every other AirBnB experience my family had had been really good. I sure thought that we could have resolved this fairly without having to leave negative feedback.
Excellent condo for multi-generational families or for multiple families. Right on the slopes next to 3 base lifts. Ski-butler on first floor was invaluable for storing ski equipment - very convenient. Heated pool and hot tubs were a big hit w/ the younger kids as was the game room.
This condo was a great place for our family to stay during our vacation to Park City. Even with the adjacent ski lift closed, we still were across the street from the main gondola. The view up the mountain can't be captured in pictures, and the hot tubs, heated pool, and ski valet were top-notch amenities. To our surprise, there actually were a couple of pack and plays in the unit even though they weren't referenced on the amenities, which was great. The one thing that could be an issue here is the limited parking in the garage during busier ski seasons. Supposedly there is only one space for this large unit, but we were able to park all our cars in the garage since it wasn't very busy.
