Loved the place, but, GPS will not get you to it! We had to combine gogle maps and Apple maps to get a composite map to find the place. That is a plus and a minus. Plus as in it's out there and secluded and private! Minus as in we got there after dark and were concerned we might not find it. THe place was clean and beautiful. However, the power went out 5 minutes after we arrived and got unpacked. None of the 3 flashlights or the battery powered candle had working batteries and there were no spares. Luckily we had received 2 candles for Christmas presents earlier in the day so we had 2 candles. The number we called was unable to help or even to tell us who the local power company was. We did without for 4 hours until the power came back on. That was the only negative we had, everything else was positive. Please stock up on good batteries and make sure the ones in the flashlights you provide are charged. Otherwise PERFECT!

Good thing we read all the reviews! Cause that mountain was definitely 4wd necessary! The road was very high terrain but overall exactly what we wanted. Downside, cars aren’t as close to the front door so walking the steps down in the rain not fun but not a huge deal. Overall great stay, great views. We really enjoyed our Christmas there.

Beautiful remote cabin, accurately described in the listing as being 20-25 minutes off the main road on a rugged and steep gravel road. If you want to get away, this is great.

Good property if you don’t plan on leaving during your stay. The roads up to the home are EXTREMELY steep so 4WD/AWD is a must. They only provide a couple trash bags/paper towel rolls/toilet paper rolls/etc. so be sure to pack your own if you have multiple people. You are responsible for taking your trash to the dump. I wish I would have known this prior as I was in a car with 4 people who had to ride 25 minutes with huge bags of trash on our laps and then illegally dump the trash because the dump is closed on Sunday and the hosts didn’t get back to me prior to checkout telling me I could keep the trash at the home. Other than that I would recommend.
