The house is lovely and a real home from home. Although from reviews, I was worried about the parking, was always able to park outside. Like a previous review, I had to take my female dog out on a lead rather than use the decking, but that was easy. The house is so close to the costal path and beach and was a perfect location. Local information was provided and accurate. I would love to go back one day.

Karin was very helpful and replied quickly to any questions before our stay. She checked up that we had been able to get in which was later than expected because of the stormy weather and traffic. The cottage was very clean with a lovely welcome basket. It’s a very comfortable, spacious &beautifully decorated cottage and very convenient for the SW coastal path, walking down to the Marina area or up to the sculpture quarry and around. There’s such a lot to visit on Portland itself that Rosa Cottage is well placed for. A note to those who go with a dog, (and there’s absolutely nothing Karin can do anything about as these are terraced Victorian cottages), if you have a female dog who will only wee or poo on grass there are few available areas immediately by the cottage so it means taking them out on lead for nighttime and morning ablutions. However our dog learnt very quickly to go to the inner front door as a signal to go out and my daughter quickly found the closest grassy patches.

I would highly recommend staying here. Every corner you looked at was pleasing to the eye. The ceilings were high, and it was very light & spacious. I found parking very close by and even right out side of Rosa every time I returned from being out. Karin was very helpful and responded quickly. Will definitely like to go back.
