Superbe petite maison, idéalement placée dans un village plein de charme. Les prestations sont de qualité. Lucia nous a laissé à disposition une demeure qu’elle a refait dans les règles de l’art, avec de belles matières, avant de la décorer avec soin. Elle est, de plus, restée particulièrement disponible par message durant tout notre séjour, et a su gérer parfaitement notre arrivée et notre départ à distance. Un bon point de chute pour découvrir le sud des pouilles . On reviendra.

We had a wonderful stay at Lucias house. The house has a fantastic view and is very clean and well equiped. We'd love to come back to enjoy the view. Grazie mile

I would like to disclaim the fact that my review is based on our experience of a family of four, 2 adults and 2 kids, age 3 and 10. Therefore, our review will not be suitable for couples without kids but nevertheless I think is worth reading. Booking was easy, we told Lucia about our family, our landing time, the fact the we’re gonna rent a car and arrive at her place at around 8pm and everything seemed ok. We paid in full and that was that. A week before going, she texted and asked me again about arriving time(like we haven’t discussed that before...) and when I told her 8 pm, she tried to impose a late check-in fee of 30 euros, saying that check-in time is 3 to 5 pm. When I sent her the print screen of our previous conversation and threatened to make a complaint with Airbnb about it, she dropped the fee, as a one time “favor” saying that she contacted Airbnb herlself and asked them to add this fee under the house rules(even today, the fee is not listed under the house rules). The house and getting there: a friend of Lucia waited for us and showed us the way, as there is no address basically... The road to the house is very narrow and steep and is a dead end so you’d better be a good driver if you don’t want to scratch the car(not exaggerating at all!!!). The house is a renovated old house with impeccable attention to details! The three A/C units worked great, stove was very nice, kitchen equipped, hot water for shower at any time, internet worked great, smart TV. The weird thing was that in order to get to the bedroom, you had to walk outside the building, climb some stairs and then reach upstairs where the bedroom is completely isolated from the rest of the house. Luckily it had it’s own bathroom. For us, as a family of four, was quite unpleasant to say goodbye to each other every night and sleep separately (each with a child), on separate floors. There was no way you could have put to sleep a 3 years old together with a 10 years old child unattended, in a bedroom which was completely isolated. The couch downstairs turned into a folded bed with a very thin mattress of about 5-7cm, through which you could feel the frame of the bed and the springs all night looong. Definitely unsuitable for sleeping for 11 nights in a row... having said that, the house is really suitable for 2 people only rather then 4... The two balconies/terraces were really nice in terms of size and decoration but the deserted house next door, at about 5 meters away, was without windows, with broken walls, weeds grown all over, it looked like it was haunted and completely spoiled everything... Trash was a nightmare as well. We complied with the schedule but it was quite hard to have the plastic collected only once a week in the middle of august, when plastic water bottles got emptied on a fast pace... On that note, on the day of our departure, when both my wife and myself woke up and vacuumed the floor, cleaned the house, washed and hung the towels, we “dared” to leave the trash(sorted) on the terrace, next to the bins, because the bags wouldn’t fit in, Lucia sent me photos with the bags saying that we didn’t follow the trash collection schedule. She said nothing about our effort to leave everything on the right order with minimum things to do for the cleaning lady, even though a cleaning fee of 270£ was included in the overall payment. Also for the whole 11 night that we spent there, nobody came to clean the house, or chance the towels or the bed sheets. Having said all that, Lucia was very nice to us and she made a dinner reservation for us on the night of our arrival and she gave us good restaurants recommendations. Lucia was also very kind to let us stay a few hours past the checkout time and for that we are very thankful!

Lucia‘s house is at a beautiful location with views over the old town of matino and the ionian sea at the horizon. everything is tastefully furnished, new and very clean. it is an ideal spot to explore the area away from the tourist crowds. the airconditioning was super as we were there in late july/august. be aware that the master bedroom is a seperate unit upstairs, downstairs its a sofa bed, which wasn‘t ideal for us being a family with two kids, but in the end the place was so beautiful and relaxed that we had the most wonderful holiday ever!

Casa situata in pieno centro storico di Matino paese nell’entroterra ma strategico per visitare tutte le meraviglie del Salento. La casa è molto spaziosa e finemente ristrutturata con tutti i comfort a disposizione degli ospiti. Lucia è stata un host ineccepibile, molto presente nonostante non si trovasse a Matino e preziosi i suoi consigli per visitare il Salento.
