I stayed with Jaye and Spike for several weeks. They are the nicest people, easy to talk to, interested in my trip from day to day. The room and bed are good. The nabourhood is cozy, and have loads of restaurants. I went for walks around many times for shopping, coffee and people watching. It takes 45 to 60 minutes to get into Manhattan by train. I highly recommended this place.

Jaye is such a gentle, kind and considerate host! During our stay she made us feel at home. Every little detail was thought off. Not only she guided us for every practical thing at home but also shared with us her advice. Spike is also a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful, Thanks to Jaye and Spike we even spent a nice post dinner moment with them and their great friends. Ethel the queen also blessed us with her magic and accepted us as friends which we will always fondly remember. The house has a great energy resonating the art and healing energy the hosts have. The location of the house is also very convenient, the neighborhood has a lot to offer and safe. was a true pleasure staying in Jaye, Spike and Ethel’s place. I’d certainly stay there again in my next trip!

Jay and Spike are wonderful hosts. I really enjoyed my time with them, and I had a wonderful and lovely time at their house. They were very generous and very responsive. They helped me with everything I asked, and I felt very welcome. The room is very cozy and very comfortable, and I had everything I needed for my stay. The location is close to the subway. Nearby, there are shops and restaurants, and it is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. They even offered to help me with all my luggage as I was moving out. I will definitely come again

Jaye and Spike were friendly, helpful, and communicative. Their place is in a great location - peaceful and residential, but walking distance to multiple subway lines, cafes, restaurants, and shops. The guest room is up a flight of stairs, so just be aware if you have mobility issues or a lot of luggage.

Jaye and Spike are very nice. The key attraction is obviously the terrific location – right on the edge of Park Slope, not too far from Prospect Park and subways. The room has southern exposure (Jaye did help me jury-rig a bit more of a curtain block for the intense morning sun) and the home, with its backyard and kitchen skylight, has a sunny feel. It's a good choice for a short stay, those who will be out and about, and early risers. The room is small (normalish for NY standards!). Many people will consider it generally peaceful for NY, though as a longer-term guest, there was occasionally significant sound from the neighboring backyards. Jaye and Spike are mostly quiet, but noise does carry in the home and the room abuts the bathroom. It's worth noting that the kitchen doubles as their WFH home office, so you will likely feel more comfortable with limited food prep (though they are perfectly welcoming).
