“Emma’s Place” is such an adorable spot! It is definitely a little bit off the beaten path, but that’s part of why we chose to stay here! We loved having a peaceful getaway after being in the busy Cinque Terre. It is still a drive-able location to popular areas. Gianna, the host, also provided a long list of local recommendations of things to do and places to see. Along with helpful traveling tips. It was also extremely clean and well kept. She also provided some items to make a delicious breakfast for the stay!

Emma’s House is a beautiful small cottage in a very tiny village in the hills opposite of Cinque Terra. We and our two kids (2&4) enjoyed a nearby playground and peaceful place to retreat on the days in between our outings to the coast. The historic house is clean and cozy, with the door opening to a street with no traffic and a small peaceful terrace. The kitchen is very well stocked for breakfast. Gianna and her sister Mirella are extremely friendly and provided many amenities and checked in and helped us find everything we were looking for. The village is very peaceful except for the roosters and the charming melodic bells at noon. This is a great place if you plan to do a bit of hiking, but otherwise is quite remote. We accessed the village by car along a very windy road. The small restaurant(?) in the village had no clear opening hours, perhaps because of holidays. By car, the nearest restaurant was 10 minutes, gas station 15 minutes, and supermarket/city 20 minutes away.

J ai passé une semaine formidable ... un accueil chaleureux avec des petites touches d attention...une belle tarte au chocolat nous attendait... La maison est parfaite..dans un petit village paisible..on y dors super bien..à la fraiche... Il y a tout le confort possible, et tout pour petit-déjeuner et manger à notre arrivée... Voila... un séjour parfait avec des hôtes très sympas , réactifs et prévenants...allez y les yeux fermés...

The place is very clean and nicely decorated, with a lot of detail and many nice touches in a shabby chic style. The family home feels very lived in, with lots of cute cups, dishes, crockery and cutlery. The chocolate cake and all the food provided in the fridge was delicious and much appreciated, bcluding the organic tomatoes. There is a dishwasher, though not a washing machine, as is clear from the description. The location is quite special, in a very old and peaceful village in the mountains, although this means that plenty of driving is required. This was fine for us, we expected that, though maybe got a bit tedious towards the end of the week’s stay. We also have a happy 4-year old who insists he spent many happy nights at Emma’s home :)
