Geoff and Kate are what all hosts on air bnb should strive to be. My time in Penticton and at the Shire was amazing. I even chose to extend my stay due to their unbelievable hospitality and how peaceful the location was. They make you feel right at home and are willing to accommodate any needs you might have. During my stay I felt more like a neighbour/friend than a stranger staying at their home. Ask and you shall receive with these guys! Meals were not included and they still made breakfast for myself and the other guests that were there one morning, and their daughter even got involved handing out some muffins. The property is very private, peaceful and has a fantastic view that I enjoyed waking up to each morning. The firepit also has a great view over the city that was amazing to sit at each night with the fire going. Geoff and Kate thank-you for your above and beyond hospitality and making my first time in Penticton and using air bnb exceed all expectations!

I had a fantastic stay at here. The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and peaceful. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The sauna were great for relaxing. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful views and adorable hut. We loved our stay and hope to be back again in the future! Hosts were beyond helpful and friendly and made us feel right at home.

while Kate and Geoff are lovely people, I think it was inconsiderate to list this place up for the month of March. I’m sure this cabin is cool and breezy in the summer months, but it was unfortunately not suitable for March weather where the weather reached minus celsiuses at night. the listing’s pictures doesn’t reflect the cabin’s state either. While it’s beautifully made, one of the wall’s is a bare rock, and there are two mesh panels between this rock and the wall which keeps the air in, so there’s no insulation for the winter months. Although they provide hot water bottles, they were not enough and if we haven’t had our sleeping bags with us by sheer luck, it would’ve been impossible to spend the night in the cabin. Sad to say that this was no better than staying in the car warmth wise, I don’t think it was fair to charge $150 per night and only offer a roof on top our heads and nothing else.

Absolutely fantastic experience!! Love the seclusive-ness and how well it blends with the surrounding environment!! Very responsive with clear and direct instructions. Thanks for waiting for us on our arrival day even though we had a delayed arrival coming from Vancouver. We absolutely adore your cat and dog as well... we would love to come back again and revisit this place in our years!!! Perhaps to another cabin next time. Thanks for everything.
