Picturesque living in a heritage mountain home having breathtaking views of a huge private garden and glorious mountain peaks. Located over a landscaped green hill, 10 mins drive from Naini Lake, a peaceful personal retreat and a splendid escape in Nainital, at just 7 hour's drive from Delhi. Explore several exotic and cultural locations like Bhimtal, Naukuchia Taal, Sattal, Kainchi Dham, and Mukteshwar within a 50 Km drive. Please read the detailed description below for more information. Our home is a British time heritage mountain home (originally built in 1939), which has been renovated to modern-day comfort and aesthetics. Our home overlooks a gorgeous private garden and tall mountain peaks. Property Layout: * The property is a combination of 2 units, and is rented out together as a 3 BHK (current listing), as well as individually a 2 BHK and a 1 Bedroom unit (these are separate listings and can be found as Stanley house 2 BHK unit, and Stanley house 1 BR unit). * All 3 bedrooms have attached / en-suite bathrooms * We can accommodate 6 guests (privacy) and can provide extra beds for an additional guest in each room. Max sleeping 10. * The alley's in front of the rooms have been converted into comfortable private living spaces which is fitted with sofa's, a dining table for 4, and a cute bar console. Our guests can comfortably relax in this lounge area which overlooks our lawns outside through the French Windows. * The kitchen is located next to the dining area in the living room (of the 2 room unit) * Outside is our garden overlooking the mountains. We have garden chairs for guests to relax and enjoy in the garden. * We also have a kid's play area with swings Amenities: * TV's with Netflix have been provided in all bedrooms * Wi-Fi connectivity is provided in the bedrooms and the living space. * Kitchen has most required utensils, appliances like microwave, refrigerator, gas stove, etc., and necessary cutlery and crockery * All bathrooms have storage water heaters for hot water supply * Heaters/heat convectors have been provided in the bedrooms for usage in winter * Power backup is through a genset * Housekeeping is provided daily * Linen change will be provided every 3rd day, Fresh towels will be provided daily * Complementary bottled water (6 bottles) on the day of arrival will be provided. Accessibility & Parking: The car goes straight to the property and we have secure parking for 2-3 cars Caretaker: Our caretaker will be available to look after our guests from 8 AM to 6 PM. He resides at our adjacent property and can be called as per requirement. If the caretaker is required to be called after 6 PM, extra duty charges of Rs. 1000 per 3 hours will apply. Our caretaker can run daily errands for our guests, however, he does not have a local conveyance. He can accompany the guests or you can send him with your driver to bring in items of choice. Our caretaker is not a cook, and cannot cook for you. Please do not ask him to do so. Meals & Dining: We have a special tie-up with our link Hotel Vikram Vintage Inn which is located adjacent to our property. * Our guests are welcome to have Buffet breakfast at the hotel as per hotel breakfast timings at an extra cost of Rs. 500 per head. In-room breakfast cannot be provided. * An in-room dining menu from the hotel has been placed on the property for guests to order other meals as per choice and as per the terms and conditions of the hotel. * Guests are also welcome to have other meals at the hotel's restaurant and bar at an additional charge. Special preferential pricing is available at the hotel for our resident guests in case they opt to have all meals at the hotel. Recreation: * We have a kid's play area with swings * A table tennis table has been kept near the kid's play area for our guests to enjoy a game of table tennis * Our guests are welcome to use the Snooker table at Hotel Vikram Vintage Inn, subject to availability and charges * Access to Hotel Vikram Vintage Inn's gym is also possible for our guests subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel. Music & Noise restrictions: * Our property is located in a prime residential area next to the Uttarakhand High Court and has the homes of several judges and senior people. Playing loud music or making excess noise after 10 p.m. is strictly prohibited. * Playing soft music through a portable dock (not provided by the property), is permitted till 10 PM. Smoking: * This is a smoke-free property, and smoking inside the house will not be tolerated. Guests are welcome to smoke in the lawn outside, however, guests should ensure the use of ashtrays and not litter the premises. Bonfire & Barbecue: * Bonfires can be provided in the dedicated area next to the lawn. A charge of Rs. 1500 per bonfire (3 hours) will be applicable. Barbecue set up can be provided at Rs. 1000 per usage Laundry and dry cleaning: * We do not have a washing machine at the property, as water is scarce in the hills. We have a tie-up with a local laundry / dry cleaning service that can look after your laundry needs at an affordable cost. Our caretaker will guide you about the same Guests travelling with Nannies / Drivers: * We can provide an extra bed for a nanny/babysitter who accompanies our guests at an extra cost of Rs. 250 per day (no meals included). This bed will be provided either in the bedroom, in the living space, or the kitchen. The nanny will have to use the maid's toilet located behind the kitchen. * Stay arrangements for a Driver can be provided for a driver in the dormitory of Hotel Vikram Vintage Inn for Rs. 250 per day (no meals included). The driver / male help will not be allowed to stay in the villa. Pet Policy: * We welcome your toilet-trained pets into the property, A pet fee of Rs. 2000 per booking will be applied while making the booking. * Pets would strictly not be allowed to get on the beds/sofas * If a pet creates any mess, our staff will not clean it. Guests would be required to clean the same * The pet should not be left outdoors unattended * The guest will ensure the safety of our team, and neighbours/children/people scared of pets, and shall maintain necessary safety precautions at all times. If the pet harms any person, the same can lead to necessary legal and criminal action against the guest.
Watching the sunrise over the mountain peaks, or an afternoon beer sitting under the bright sun, lounging on our garden furniture, makes our home a blissful experience.
Nainital Lake and Mall Road are at a 5-minute drive from the property.
We recommend guests to have a personal car if they wish to travel to nearby hill stations / places of interest. Nainital has a parking problem near the mall road. The guests are welcome to take the 2 KM walk from the property to the mall road, which will take them approx 30 mins to walk each way.
We can help in organizing a local day taxi for you if required.
