This was one of our most favorite stays in Sri Lanka! If you're looking for something different from a impersonal resort/hotel but still want to be right on the beach, look no further! The house is located in a cute little neighbourhood. From the private courtyard, you access directly to a nice beach with some fisher boats and most of the time no one else to be seen. On the right side of the bay (3 minutes walk on the beach) are some rocks where you can observe a nice variety of colorful fish - unfortunately this part of the beach is cluttered with plastic waste. The beach in front of the house though seems to be cleaned everyday where we swam and played with the beach toys provided by the house and sipped on the cold coconuts that we found in the fridge.
Amazing stay in Trinco on a beautiful stretch of beach. Fabulous snorkelling. Loved winding down and relaxing in this beautiful Beach Cottage. Perfect for anyone staying on the east coast. Lovely breakfasts and super helpful service.
This is probably our favourite airbnb we have ever stayed in. Having the ability to walk out the back door and straight into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean was magical. Having breakfast prepared for us was both delicious and convenient. Everyone was super kind =) absolutely recommend if you are looking for a place to get away and relax!

Wir hatten ein paar wirklich schöne Tage in dem kleinen Häuschen. Mag konnte sehr gut kochen und mit Blick auf das Meer essen oder seine Zeit im Hof genießen. Die dutch bay hat uns sehr gut zum schwimmen gefallen und unsere 5 jährige Tochter konnte sogar schnorcheln, was wir in Sri Lanka wegen der Wellen nicht so erwartet hatten. Leider und das muss ich sagen, ist das Zimmer mit dem Doppelstockbett sehr ungünstig geplant, sodass wir unsere Kinder dort nicht schlafen lassen konnten. Achtung! Die Betten sind hier auch nicht 2m lang, also theoretisch wirklich nur für Kinder geeignet. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und immer überaus pünktlich. Auch waren die helfenden Frauen überaus herzlich und gründlich. Herzlichen Dank!

We are an English-Lankan / American couple living in Sri Lanka. All of our properties are restorations of characterful old buildings. We take pleasure in giving a new lease of life to properties that might otherwise have been destroyed in the name of modern development. We try to maintain the original style and feel of a bygone Lankan era, while simultaneously updating the property for the comfort of today's discerning adventurous tourist.
