I think everything is awesome. The house is clean and the view is so pretty. One thing is that I think the host could respond to our messages more quickly. I asked at 1:30 pm for how to lock the door but received the response around 2:40pm.

Great spot! Peaceful setting. Beautiful home. The opportunity to canoe across the pond to the swimming pool made for a fun daily vacation adventure for our kids that was also simple & stress free for parents! Would definitely come back!

While the home was a pleasant stay, the property management company Vacasa was absolutely HORRIBLE! I will start by staying the east coast has just had one of the most destructive hurricanes in a very long time. Well, Hurricane Ian made landfall on 09/30/2022 which was the check in day for our arrival. The week leading up to our trip I had multiple contacts with Vacasa about this hurricane and that the hurricane is coming to the area I live in South Carolina. We tried to reschedule the trip but they would not cover it under extenuating circumstances. There was also a state of emergency issued for the county I live in and the Vacasa still would not agree to rescheduling the trip. Vacasa continued to say not they will not make alterations and expected me to travel with my family in a hurricane. I also purchased trip insurance, and that wouldn’t even cover it. I found this to be astonishing that the trip insurance and Vacasa couldn’t not comprehend that a hurricane was making landfall in the county I live in. Needless to say we did not check on the actual arrival day and I will not be refunded for that day. Be mindful of this and do not book any property managed by Vacasa

The inside of the home is beautiful. There a some things that need to be taken care of to make this home worth the rental fee.

We had an amazing stay with Vacasa North Carolina! The property inside and out was beautiful. We enjoyed canoeing and fishing right off the dock in the backyard. The kitchen is amazing and the windows make you feel like you are outside with all of the natural lighting and picture perfect view of the lake. We loved the walk ability to the restaurants and stores in Flat Rock! We look forward to visiting again soon.
