A natural swimming area at the Hofsee lake is approx. 1.5 km away and a restaurant approx. 4.50 km away, further restaurants and various shopping facilities can be found approx. 6-7 km away in Waren (Müritz). This centrally heated (partly underfloor heating), tastefully furnished non-smoking apartment for up to 6 people on one level has insect screens on the bedroom windows and can be reached via an open outside staircase and a shared hallway. The apartment has a spacious living area (sofa bed & extra bed for 2 people, flat screen TV, music system) with open kitchen (dining table, electric stove with oven, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, coffee machine), a bedroom with double bed and flat screen TV, a bathroom (walk-in shower, toilet, hairdryer) and another bedroom with 2 single beds. The apartment has a small balcony with private access, another balcony is located in front of the entrance area. There are also parking spaces, bicycle storage facilities, free Wi-Fi and an outdoor area with a covered seating area, parasol and barbecue for communal use. Baby equipment (crib incl. mattress, blanket, high chair) can be provided on request. The total price includes final cleaning, bed linen, water and energy consumption. Kargow is a small community in the Müritz National Park, which is one of the most important habitats of rare animals and plants due to its huge forest complexes, many small lakes, meadows and moors. The Müritz National Park Information Center is located in the neighbouring village of Federow (4 km), where visitors can experience the life of these rare birds of prey via a live camera in an osprey nest, etc. Of the many guided tours of the national park offered here to observe wild animals and birds, those to the crane resting places are particular highlights. Thousands of these lucky birds stop off here in spring and fall. Visitors can also explore the region themselves using the well-developed network of cycling and hiking trails and by combining bus, boat and bike with the national park ticket. The region is also home to the Havel spring lakes, a popular canoeing area, and Federow has a farm with a restaurant and the only radio play church in Germany.
