Guests enter from the covered front porch and step into a front hall well-organized for your Berkshire gear with hooks, cubbies, and closet. To your left is the front parlor with a reading library of art and design books, plus a grand piano. To the right is open concept living with a light filled family room, dining room, and kitchen with counter seating. This area also has a 1/2 bath and a large laundry with a side by side washer/dryer and a large pantry. The kitchen is well equipped with stainless appliances, All-Clad and Le Creuset cookware. All tools and gadgets required for baking are available including a Kitchen-aid stand mixer. The Kitchen also has a nice assortment of small appliances including microwave, food processor, blender, coffee maker and 4-slot toaster. At the kitchen sink, a Multi-Pure water filter system is built-in. The dining room has a farm table and French café chairs with seating for 8 plus room for 4 at the counter. The family room and parlor will comfortably seat 10 guests and guests can enjoy a wall mounted smart TV, with access to all of your subscriptions. There is artwork, books, games, puzzles and toys to entertain both children and adults. The rear sundeck and screened porch are accessed from both the kitchen and the living room -and overlooks a lush lawn with a fun playhouse. The second floor has 2 bedrooms: the primary has a king bed with an ensuite full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The primary also has a walk-in closet, well organized, so you can easily put your things away. Guest room #2 has a queen bed and is well appointed with a small sofa, desk, and plenty of storage. There is a second full bathroom on this floor with a walk in shower. The third floor is a delightfully converted attic space with two additional guest rooms. Guest room #3 has 4 twin beds: 2 extra long singles and the third is a twin trundle, which can be made up as a twin, two twins, or a king - Just let us know how you'd like it set up! Guest room #4 has one extra-long twin and small trundle bed. All three floors have central air-conditioning. The extra-long twins have organic rubber mattresses. Due to their generous length and quality, these mattresses are very comfortable for adults as well as children. Outside is a delightful front sitting porch and lovely cottage gardens with pathways leading to the front walk and side parking area. The back sun deck is private, with outdoor seating, a shade umbrella and a grill for dining al fresco. There is also a cozy screened in tea porch on the side of the house, accessed through the family room. The yard is fenced with a delightful playhouse. Located in highly desirable neighborhood known as “The Hill”, Guests are an easy 5-minute walk into the center of downtown Great Barrington, where you can stroll, shop, get a delicious meal, enjoy shows, cinema, galleries, and Saturday night !Berkshire Busk! available, throughout the summer season. It's just a quick, 10 minute walk, to Lake Mansfield Park with sandy beach swimming, a lifeguard on duty, picnicking, tot park and a loop trail. No motorboats are permitted canoes/kayaks are available for rent in town or bring your own! This particular street is known for its charm and friendly neighbors. Children gather and play. This is truly a small slice of heaven! 5 minutes to Ski Butternut, 15 minutes to Catamount Ski, 25 minutes to Tanglewood and 25 minutes to Jacob’s Pillow.
