El chalet una maravilla. Lo malo fue que la anfitriona decidió NO cortar el césped y plantas de los jardines exteriores a pesar que la reserva se hizo hace 4 meses. Muy mal pues creo que tuvo el tiempo suficiente para hacerlo antes de nuestra llegada. Cristina, muy amable y gentil en todo dentro de sus posibilidades pero si no recibe instrucciones de la anfitriona es poco probable que haga un buen trabajo. El jardín es parte de la presentación de la casa y debió ser podado. Tampoco hubo agua un día en el chalet porque se malogró la bomba de agua. Los dormitorios necesitan una cortina negra para impedir la entrada de los rayos solares.

Patricia's Chalet is a great stay, has almost anything you could wish for up in the mountains, and even comes with a Swiss touch. It's located in a very quiet an beautiful rural community, with friendly neighbors and a beautiful garden surrounded by beautiful pine trees that also offer privacy. It's strategically located between the main city in the Ancash region, Huaraz, and the breathtaking sceneries of the Huascaran National Park, the Llanganuco lakes, and lake Parón. If one wants to avoid the crowded and not easily navigated city of Huaraz, bustling with tourists and some interesting cafés and hangouts, and rather enjoy cooking some fresh local produce from local markets and in the comfort of one's own kitchen, this is certainly an option. Renting a car or driving your own can make exploring the beauty of Ancash and the immediate attractions much easier and amenable. This was our thought, which unfortunately didn't quite work out. The rather complicated gas installation that is turned on and set up by Patricia's local co-hosts - Patricia lives in Switzerland - at check-in, failed to get the kitchen operating and we sadly lost fresh fish and groceries that we couldn't cook. With the help of Airbnb, we could solve this and received a compensation according to Airbnb policy, but we weren't able to avoid restaurants, which was something we wanted due to the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Another issue we brought up, and which Patricia has committed to improving, is that although Patricia is a Superhost, she isn't actually hosting her Airbnb, as is advertised in her listing. The listing also didn't mention the names of the local co-hosts, or that one has to actually meet up with them in Huaraz for them to drive up some 40 minutes to the Chalet for the check-in, hand over keys and setting up the gas. These rather important details were not mentioned in the listing, and it was rather unexpected to be contacted over WSP from an unknown number out of the blue about our stay at the Chalet. In total we met 4 people and liased with 5, and the main co-host couldn't meet up with us in Huaraz at the time we were arriving, so she sent her sister. Ideally, communication should go through the Airbnb platform, and not via WSP with co-hosts who are not listed as such. We have raised the issue of being transparent about the hosting to Patricia and Airbnb, as well as the functional and safety issue regarding the somewhat complicated gas installation, and Patricia has agreed to improve on this. We nevertheless wanted to be clear about this in our review, so that anyone interested in staying at Patricia's Chalet can be aware of these details before booking. We would certainly have appreciated this. Not to end on a negative note, we can highly recommend Patricia's Chalet to those who plan to drive and explore the Huascarán National Park and archeological sites, and have an entire beautiful and quiet place to themselves.

Lindo lugar para quedarse en el callejón de Huaylas. El Chalet es toda una joyita y muy bien distribuido para estar en familia. Volvería a alojarme siempre en el mismo lugar.

El chalet es espectacular. Tal y como se ve en las fotos. La ubicación es una maravilla, lejos del bullicio de la ciudad. super recomendable.
