Newly renovated, walk-out basement apartment ideally located in a secluded, peaceful neighborhood across the street from Council Crest Park and just 7 minutes to downtown Portland. The space is warm and inviting, with lovely decor and all the amenities you could want, including a hot tub and a fully fenced, dog-friendly side yard. We specialize in secluded serenity. Our home is at the end of a dead-end street, right near the famed Council Crest Park - the highest point in Portland. You will have full access to the newly-renovated, 700 square-foot, 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment on the ground floor as well as a large deck with a hot tub and secure side yard for the doggo. We follow all AirBnB and CDC guidelines for cleaning the unit between guests, so you can book in confidence. The Bedroom The bedroom features a queen-sized bed with a new mattress and 4" memory foam topper. The views out the original arched windows to the densely treed backyard are stunning to wake up to. The bedroom and living room have independent AC/Heating units for your comfort. The Living Room The living room has a full-size, Lazy Boy couch that also has a memory foam mattress (not the cheap, lumpy kind!). The living room can be fully enclosed and also has a closet for hanging space as well as blackout shades to act as a 2nd bedroom. Guest staying in the other bedroom can access the kitchen and bathroom without having to go through the living room. The TV has a firestick and we have high-speed WIFI throughout so you can access all your favorite entertainment easily. For the families, we have 20+ Disney DVDs and a DVD player, as well as a variety of games. The Kitchen There is dining space for 4, both inside and out. Please note, to comply with Portland city regulations, the kitchen does not have an oven. We do, however, have a high-end toaster oven large enough to cook a chicken or 2 frozen pizzas. We also have a 2 burner stove top and microwave, so all your cooking needs are covered. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, spices etc... We love coffee and tea and wanted to share that passion with our guests, so you will also find a Keurig with a wide variety of K-cups, as well as a French Press with local coffee grounds provided, and a tea station with a very diverse selection of teas. Whatever you need to wake up on the morning, we've got you covered! Family Friendly We have a baby bassinet and pack and play available upon requests. We have a LARGE deck kids are welcome to play on, as well as a great selection of Disney DVDs and kids books. Dog Friendly We love dogs! Your 4-legged family member is welcome to stay with you. Please supervise your dog at all times...both inside and out. If you would like to bring more than one dog, please message us for consideration. Let us know if you’d like specific directions to the off-leash dog park in Council Crest Park. It is a lovely 7 min walk through the park from the house. Things to Note: We do live here full-time, so there will be residual sound between the floors. We do not have children and are certainly mindful of our guests. We do, however, have two dogs. The are kept secured in their own side-yard on the opposite side of the house unless otherwise invited. We have a modest cleaning charge applicable to all stays that covers our cost for preparing the unit prior to your arrival. We always strive to apply best practices for sanitation. Hood Guest Access We are, unfortunately, not handicap accessible. There is a decent run of stairs down to the apartment. You will have a reserved parking spot in our driveway, as well as curbside parking out front. All guests are required to fill out our guest registration form with full home address of each person in the party and your license plate number if you are driving.
