Our cosy suite is located in the extension of our historical home 10km from Amsterdam. Enjoy your stay in a stylish private room with a luxury bed, a private restroom and private bathroom. Free parking in front of our airbnb and 30min on public transport to Amsterdam Central Station! Providing guests the opportunity to easily commute to the city buzz of Amsterdam and then retreat to the more peaceful settings amongst rustic architecture scenery of the village. Our cosy suite is located in the 2024 build extension of our house, situated in the garden of our historical home. The bedroom suite has a comfortable queen bed and small sitting area for two (perfect for a take-away pizza or to get some emails done on a laptop). The suite comes with high-end bathroom and restroom (both private and marble floored). In the extension where all three rooms are situated, we also have our laundry room, which we have excess to during our guests stays. You are very welcome to also use our modern Miele washing machine and dryer that are situated in this laundry room. The whole airbnb space has floor heating, which makes it a very comfortable stay in Winter.

The bedroom suite was very peaceful and clean, and the area was also peaceful and beautiful. A perfect home base after a day in the city of Amsterdam. Laura was super communicative and helpful, kept offering to help us out or tighten up the place if need be. Overall, very much appreciate it and enjoyed our stay.

Kleine, schön gestaltete Unterkunft im malerischen Monickendam. Problemloser Check in (gut beschrieben) und schnelle Kommunikation. Parkplätze waren zumeist unmittelbar vor der Unterkunft frei. Nicht weit von Amsterdam. Gerne wieder! 🤍
Was our first time in Amsterdam, and we decided to have our home far away from center, in order to enjoy and rest after long days in the crowded tun. Was the Best decision. The zone is really pretty and I would strongly reccomend if you are not into living in the center. Laura was an amazing host, very friendly, kind and always reactive to any of my answer. Me and my partner had a beautiful experience there !

Situated on the historic fishing port town of the ijsell lake in North Holland. Monnickendam is easily accessible via public transport; 30 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal (& 50 mins Schiphol Airport ).
Walking distance to classic Dutch polder countryside hikes, cycling’s best touring routes of North Holland . 10 min Bus to other historical towns of Marken, Edam and Broek in Waterland.
In warmer months the studio makes a great base for water sports, sailing, boating and swimming on the ijsel
Lake and the popular Beach bar Strand 4 situated just 5 mins bike ride away.
Free parking in front of our Airbnb. (Airbnb is located 20min drive from Amsterdam)
Bus stop to Central Station and historical villages in the area: 7min walk away.
Bus and train connection to and from Schiphol airport takes about 50min.
