The flat is a stone's throw from Biodola beach.
A wide and long beach, ideal for strolling along the fine sandy shoreline by the blue-green sea, the typical colour of the Elban sea. The seabed does not immediately become deep, it continues its descent slowly. To the left of the beach is a nature trail that leads to Procchio. The first section, which also goes through a narrow tunnel dug into the rock during the Second World War, reaches the small beaches of Lamaia and Porticciolo.

Biodola, named after a reed that grew on the dunes, is connected by a passageway on the rocks to the nearby Scaglieri, very similar in characteristics.
To the left of the beach begins the beautiful 'Sentiero della Salute' (Health Path), which, skirting the coast through tunnels and Mediterranean scrub, leads to two unspoilt beaches, that of Lamaia and Porticciolo, and continuing on to Procchio.
The beach can be reached by descending for about 2 km along the well-marked deviation between Portoferraio and Procchio.
The resort is served by a city bus service departing from Portoferraio.
