Clamshell by the Bay was a great rental!!! Our extended family of 10 had a fabulous time at this beautiful location!!

House and patio with the backyard view were great. Ping pong table in the 3 door garage as well as kayaks if you ever want to get into the water a few feet away. Rooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated. A/C system is central however, leaving downstairs freezing cold and upstairs hot. I took turns sleeping in different floors of the house. A/C units should be separated. One major issue, owner entered the house without letting us know, hung his salty hat in one of the bedrooms of my female relatives, freaking her out for the entire trip wondering who was wandering around the house while her husband was away from the trip for 3 days. This is a major safety issue. Right after we had to check all our valuables that we left in the home, that we assumed would be locked throughout… if this property is managed by a management company, the owner should NOT be going in and out in the middle of our trip, especially without any notice. Other than that, great experience with a great view. Disappointed with the property owners and their response times. Never got a text back from the emergency line, and management on Airbnb replies only in the mornings and never at night. Be prepared to run the washers at the end.

It is a beautiful house with a very private area and amazing view of water with sunset. We had one of the bedroom locked out after we arrived, their emergency line answered at 3am and got issue resolved as early as 7am. It was a good response time and we could continue with our vacation. House layout is nice and place is very clean. One thing to keep in mind is, internet was spotty and speed was bit slow, especially if 10+ folks are connected. It could be due to local internet provider, but faster speed could be really useful. I would certainly recommend this place. Over all, our group had a great time.

Excellent space with no shortage of amenities, stunning views from the property, and fresh lobster off the dock right next door! We enjoyed our stay, and likely stay again!
