Wonderful homely place to stay after a long trip.

It is a perfect place to have a stopover during the trip. Very tiny, clean, and bright. Ideal for two. Not only is bathroom stuff provided, but also homemade bread, a wine plate, and a bit of muscadel waited for us in the kitchen. That was just perfect after the long road. Thank you, Sue, for this experience and for the small guide about Montagu that made us think of visiting this town again someday.

It is truly The Little Gem of Montagu! With only 2.5 hrs from Cape Town, it is a perfect pet friendly weekend getaway. Excellent self catering options with a beautiful braai area under the old Pepper Tree. Sue can also prepare salads and braai broodjies so you just bring your meat. Other meal options also available. Beautiful view of the Langeberg Mountain range. Walking distance to the town with many restaurants and deli's. So much to do in Montagu so if you can stay longer, do so. Sue spoils her guests with a lot of treats in the kitchen. For coffee lovers, use her Mocha Coffee Pot.

It was a great honour to be Susan’s first guest at the Little Gem. The place is extremely pet friendly and Susan went the extra mile to accommodate both me and my puppy including bottled water for me and my puppy on arrival, a doggy bed and more. We really appreciated the surprise cheese board. Thank you Susan and Greg for your kind hospitality.
