Welcome to Camp Lakeside, a charming fish camp and cabin originally built in 1957. The cabin has been recently remodeled to offer modern comforts while preserving its rustic charm. Camp Lakeside is ideal for couples and families looking for a relaxing getaway. Whether you're in the mood for fishing, swimming, or simply lounging by the lake, this cabin is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy your time off. Come and experience the peace and tranquility of Camp Lakeside for yourself! LOCATION It is located in a quiet area of Lake Whitney called Lakeside Village, close to conveniences such as the Dollar Store and a convenience store, which are both less than a mile away. The cabin is within walking distance of the lake. Simply walk down the hill from the cabin with kayaks, fishing gear, or swimming gear. PLEASE NOTE THIS PROPERTY IS ONLY FOR A MAX. OF 5 PEOPLE. We are on a septic system, and this little 1957 cabin can't handle more than that. There is NOT a full kitchen. Please read below. WHAT PEOPLE LOVE Enjoy activities like boating, kayaking, fishing, and spending time with friends. Relax on the screened porch for a football game or gather around the fire pit on a starry night. WHAT PEOPLE DISLIKE Bird poop on the chairs & tables, and crawling things like bugs. You can clean one day and have bird poop or a few bugs on the screen porch the next day. We have provided a water hose and brush if any chairs need to be cleaned (we keep them covered when not in use), a broom cleaning closet, etc. We are sorry about the inconvenience. We clean A LOT; the reality is, that's lake life! PORCH Begin your day with a freshly brewed cup of coffee while sitting on the spacious screened porch and enjoying the view of the water and passing boats. In the evening, wind down with a drink in hand around the fire pit. The screened-in patio is large enough to accommodate people comfortably and also includes tables with chairs for six. It is an ideal spot to relax, take in the view, play games, or watch your favorite sports team or movie. KITCHEN The kitchenette is equipped for extended stays with an original camp stove with 2 burners, mini air fryer, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices, and place settings for 6 people. LIVING and DINING ROOM There is a kitchen, dining, and living room, which makes it great for everyone to participate in conversations. The living room and screen porch have a smart TVs and music, and you can easily connect your gaming console if needed. MAIN BEDROOM and SLEEPING QUARTERS + Bath King-size bed, two twin beds + nice fan to keep you cool at night! After all, this is a "Fish Camp," so all will be cozy! Our sofa pulls out in the living room for extra sleep space. One full bathroom with a shower; we are on a septic system, so be gentle. LIVING ROOM SLEEPING ACCOMMODATION In the living room, you can sleep one on the pull-out sleeper sofa (Bedding is NOT provided for this bed) OUTDOOR SPACE Right off the back porch is a fire pit and seating to enjoy if you want to start a fire and enjoy the evening, a picnic table, and we have provided lawn chairs. AMENITIES We have amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Free WiFi is available. The password is posted in the living room. All Smart TVs have a streaming service available. Feel free to use the grill or the outdoor fire pit. You will be responsible for your kayak and fishing gear. LAKE WATER LEVELS Please be advised that the water level of Lake Whitney is not within our control, and it is possible for the water around the beach area to be shallow at certain times, which may impact swimming. We recommend that you seek information about any local or state government plans to alter the water level or conduct a lake drawdown during your stay on the premises. Please note that we do not offer refunds due to the water level. SECURITY & MONITORING There are "active recording cameras" that monitor the exterior and exterior doors of the lake house. All cameras monitoring the exterior of the home are recorded 24/7. We also have a monitoring sensor inside and on the back patio that monitors & records decibel noise levels only (not conversations), cigarette & cigar smoking inside the house, number of persons in the house, temperature, and humidity inside the lake house. No Pets allowed. There is a minimum age requirement of 25 years old. No parties or events are permitted. No smoking is permitted on the property.
