Welcome to Kaya Cottage in the heart of Belmont, a friendly fishing village! The property neighbours the famous Peter Tosh mausoleum and is perched on the seafront, with direct access to the sandy, white beach and undisturbed views of the horizon and those breathtaking sunsets! Perfect for those passing through on the A2, and for those who want to stay longer and explore the local area, bars, and culture, or to just simply 'be'. Kaya is a home from home, right by the sea! Entire cottage - sleeps 4. Direct access to the beach, short walk to bars, shops and local restaurants. The cottage is modest in size, clean, and modern with all brand new appliances and furniture. The living area has a large U-shaped sofa perfect for lounging on. Super-fast broadband with FLOW! All mattresses are brand new. The kitchen comes fitted with a 4 ring gas stove and oven, fridge freezer, blender, toaster, kettle and all utensils. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and condiments are provided. There is an option to cook outside on the BBQ. Tap water is drinkable. The cottage has natural AC from the sea breeze, which blows right through the house, and there are grills on all doors and windows so the property can be opened up fully to appreciate this. There is also a fan in each room. Guest services include (all optional at a rate to be discussed): * A local chef to prepare and cook meals upon request * Change over included (every 3 days) all we ask is a gratuity for the housekeeper to be left at the end of stay * Tailored private tours and taxis * Fishing trips with local fishermen * Trips/shopping lists to local supermarkets for groceries

Unfortunately my time at Heather’s cottage was cut short due to a lack of water in the area — not Heather’s fault at all. The cottage is located right across the street from the sea in Belmont. There’s a small grocery store nearby that has everything you’ll need, a wonderful smoothie spot, and a warm and welcoming local community. The cottage was spotless. The decor is cute and rustic and I wish so could’ve stayed. Hope to return soon!
This was an amazing stay at heather’s place.. I’m a gospel recording artist and so I travel a lot and stay at a lot of Airbnb. This by far was the best.. Westmoreland Jamaica this place was central to all the tourists attractions 25 minutes for negril 35 minutes from ys falls and 10 minutes from the town of whitehouse.. the heather was amazing she made sure I was comfortable she did an amazing job.. anytime I’m traveling to Jamaica again this will be my home away from home.. thank you Heather.

You will love Belmont if you're looking to experience "real jamaica", unspoilt, natural and friendly. It is not a tourist trap, its a community. Belmont is SAFE and peaceful, and you are encouraged to walk around freely. Situated on the SW coastline, with sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, you have the opportunity to go out with the local fisherman and try your luck or just enjoy the ride. The cottage is directly across from the beautiful reef which is 1 mile out to sea as the crow flies. Take a ride out on a boat to snorkel, or if you are more adventurous take a kayak! The choice is yours!
Belmont has more to offer than the sandy beaches by the way! As you step off the main road, you step into nature, and there are many paths to take which lead to an abundance of trees, flowers, herbs and vegetation. Guided walks can be arranged to take you up into the hills to bird watch, check out the ganja farms, or the local organic farm, or learn about the medicinal plants and herbs we have here with a tour from our local bush man.
There are also a number of rivers; Bluefields river, RiverTop, Robins River and Cave River are all in close proximity.
Belmont is situated on the highway with easy access to lots of famous attractions.

These are all approximately within an hour to reach, and travel arrangements can be made to all of these and more!!
Walking is encouraged in Belmont to really get a feel for the place. It is a very safe community, forget what the chain hotels will say!!
Taxis and bike taxis are forever available to take you wherever you need to go just stick out your hand when you see a red plate!
Private hire is also an option at a rate to be discussed, depending on the request. Travel can be arranged to anywhere on the island!
