A gorgeous family home in the sun-kissed Vienne region of South West France. Soak up the summer sun & enjoy a dip in our fabulous pool, even in winter if you like cold swimming! Please note that children will be your responsibility. You can use our kitchen/dining room and relax in our sunroom. Well behaved dogs are most welcome and would meet Murphy, our loving dog. However, they are not allowed in the pool as their paws will damage the liner, and we’d rather you didn’t have to replace it! Bed linen & towels will be provided during your stay. Two of the rooms have locks, the Lilac and Star Rooms. Only members of the same family/friends are able to rent rooms at the same time with use of the 1 private bathroom. So if only 1 person books, you can choose your bedroom and the other 2 bedrooms will be blocked. The large garden is equipped with tables, chairs & parasols, sun loungers, pool lilos, BBQ, firepit (during the permitted months), and off-street parking. Being a local to this area for 25 years, and speaking both French and English, I would be more than happy to provide you with any help exploring this region. We are only an 8 to 10 minute walk to beautiful Civray centre, where you will find many local amenities: bars, cafés, restaurants, a cinema, ODA Aquatic Centre (public pool, spa & gym), boulangeries, pharmacy, hairdressers, banks, Saint-Nicolas 12th Century church, parks, basketball court and river walks. Equally we are just a 5 minute walk to our local Lidl and Super U. Rejallant in Condac (18 km) – hire canoes and travel down the Charente river with your picnic to picturesque Verteuil-Sur-Charente. Viaduc de l’Isle Jourdain (37km) - bungee jumping over the river Vienne or simply dine with the Viaduc view. Circuit du Val de Vienne, Le Vigeant (33km) – a 3.729 km motor racing circuit, one of the 6 most beautiful and important circuits in France. Cycling routes, on and off road, seeing the incredible French countryside straight from our front door. Futuroscope (55 minutes) – a futuristic theme park in the field of technology, film and multimedia, with 900m² of IMAX movie screens, 4D effects, 40 forces of attraction. We are also only a 50 minute drive to the historical towns of Poitiers and Angoulême, 1h 15 minutes to Limoges known for its world-famous porcelain, and 1 hr 50 minutes to the old port in La Rochelle.
