The apartment directly overlooks the Cornmill and the Annalong river where it enters the beautiful working harbour with its boats coming and going at all times of the day. The Mourne mountains can be seen behind the apartments often giving a stunning sunset. There is extensive nearby hillwalking to be enjoyed. There is a harbourside bar and restaurant and small deli just a stone’s throw away and within a few minutes walk there is Yoyos pizza and donuts and other treats, the Parlour serving some food and an array of locally made ice creams, Pepper Jacks for more pizza, and The Galley, an award winning takeaway and sit in restaurant. Several local eateries offer delivery via the ‘Kilkeel Eats’ app. There is a filling station with a large shop, post office and off license on the premises. There are several beauty parlours, a hairdresser and two barbers in the village as well as a launderette and gift shop. Last but by no means least is Sydneys, an “emporium’ where you can find everything from an envelope to a candle to a bar of chocolate and where you will always be greeted with a friendly face and a chat from the locals. There are several churches situated in the village. Just outside the development there is a fantastic enclosed children’s Playpark and picnic tables.
There is a coastal path which runs in both directions directly in front of the apartments. You can also walk out onto the harbour piers and just sit and enjoy the harbour activity.
Golf clubs within an hour’s drive include Royal County Down and Mourne Golf Club in Newcastle, Kilkeel, Warrenpoint, Bright, St Patrick’s, Ardglass, Mahee Island and Rockmount. The challenging links course at Royal Portrush is a 100 minute drive. There are numerous other courses within 90 minutes in Northern Ireland or across the open border in the Republic of Ireland.

There is a dedicated parking space with an EV charger along with further guest spaces either adjacent to the apartment or a two minute walk away. The public bus stop is located several minutes walk away at the top of the road. Dublin airport is approximately 1 hour 45 mins by car and Belfast’s two airports 75 and 90 minutes.
