Of course, every hiker has to pay a visit to iconic Camelback Mountain, the city's most recognizable natural landmark. The popular echo canyon recreation area offers great views and trails for all levels of hikers. With 189 city parks, 33,000 acres of desert preserves, and 200 miles of trails, it doesn’t matter if you’re into hiking, mountain biking, trail running, horseback riding or just going for walks, playing frisbee and having picnics - you are completely covered with all the manicured lawns and/or rugged terrain you can handle. Don’t forget to check out South Mountain Park and Preserve, the largest municipal park in the nation!

➢ Cholla Trailhead Camelback Mountain Hiking Area. Highly advanced mountain trail with steep climbs, rocky terrain & picturesque summit views.
➢ Scottsdale Nature Area Park with trails – should be fairly easy
➢ Echo Canyon Trailhead Hiking Area – park and trails
➢ Arcadia Park Park with paved trails
➢ Camelback Park City Park – great park with lots of paved trails
➢ Chaparral Park This 100-acre public park has a swimming pool & fishing lake, plus sports courts & a playground.
➢ And there is always the greenbelt, its really nice to walk along the water.

The city of Phoenix has hosted the NFL Super Bowl several times, and the city's profile as a professional sports mecca has only grown in recent years.
