Chughureti - is an old historical district on the left bank of Mtkvari River, where Fabrika is located. Chughureti derives from the Turkish word "chukur / Çukur", which in Georgian translates into gorge, pit. Interestingly, this area was surrounded by gorges from three sides. At the end of the XII century and early XIII century residence of the Georgian king was on the left bank of the river Mtkvari, hence you can imagine how vibrant life was at that time - in full blast. Large part of Tbilisi's agricultural and handicraft enterprises were in this area. Here's an interesting historical fact: as a result of the statistical data of Georgia collected in 1823, Chugureti counted ten brick factories, four agricultural factories, eight paint manufacturing factories, three smitheries, one soap factory, one barbershop, two Construction Materials Production factories, a brewery and one Tone bakery. Now what happened to all of these is another topic of discussion, history we haven't researched yet.
From the second half of the 19th century, European architecture became prominent and many of the buildings today are considered to be historical monuments.
Ninoshvili street measures a great distance from end to end and we do advice to take a long stroll and look around you. At the end of the street you'll reach Dezerter Bazaar, Tbilisi's biggest open markets for fresh produce. It covers more than 2000 square meters and you'll find a lot of different stalls and shops where bargaining, figuring out what's what and communication with the locals could be your favorite activity. Trust us, it's an amazing experience if you want to meet local people.
There are few more streets in the immediate neighborhood that are quite dazzling, as they walk you through the history. Ivane Javakhishvili and Tsinamdzgvrishvili street, parallel streets below Fabrika -if you dig deeper, this is where you discover some amazing historical buildings, magical courtyards, vintage furniture and wonderful people that could share some unbelievable stories from their lives.
Our place is very close to Queen Tamar Avenue (2 min walk), Dezerter Bazaar (5 min walk) and Fabrika - a cultural space with lots of bars, restaurants and shops (15 min walk). Outdoor padel Courts are next to our building. The parking is available on premises (free of charge).

Hi I’m Natia. My husband Michael and me love traveling a lot and have visited around 50 countries. We know that enjoyable and genuine accommodation plays important role in collecting the memories and that's why we tried our best to make our places as nice and comfortable as possible. Being actively involved in the cultural scene of Tbilisi, we think that we can be the persons to trust regarding any day and night out recommendations.
