The first stop for many visitors is Bucerías Beach, a smooth, clean stretch of sand. Enjoy a seaside walk or a swim in the warm, shallow water. For those who love water sports, there's kayaking, kite surfing, surfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Look for whales between December and March, and participate in an excursion to the Marietas Islands, an enchanting biosphere reserve.
Hacienda Doña Engracia and its Tequila Experience Tour is a must if you come to Mexico. The Doña Engracia Hacienda's story started seventeen years after the Mexican Revolution. Its tequilas are appropriately named Doña Engracia, in honor of the women in the family who kept the traditional tequila recipes alive. Today Doña Engracia has preserved its tradition of being handmade, and its presentation includes Blanco, Reposado and Añejo, all 100% Blue Agave spirits.
The Bucerias Flea Market is home to dozens of stands selling traditional Mexican crafts and souvenirs to take home and remember your vacation. There is a wide variety of merchandise, selling everything from lovely glass pieces, fun beach t-shirts, silver jewelry, sandals and carpets. One of our favorite souvenirs to get are personalized license plates.
