Thanks for checking out my profile! I am a Scottish native with a masters degree in mechanical engineering. I have lived in and around the New Orleans area for a number of years, and have an outsiders perspective combined with a locals knowledge - the perfect mix! New Orleans is my much loved adopted home, and I reside in the best area of it with my son. I have a wide range of interests, from climbing and football to astronomy and eco-housing. I believe in a world where strangers can be family for a day and enjoy using airbnb and other similar sites. I have worked with a local international youth hostel in the area and so know a good amount about the fun things to do and see around New Orleans - and also I have plenty of 'off-the-beaten-path' ideas to share with travelers. I love to travel, my favourite transportation style is cycling and I just did a very nice bike ride through Germany and Czech Republic. It makes me happy listening to others crazy travel plans.
