This was a great location for our girls weekend! We spent a lot of time in the beautiful sunroom and looking at the river from the front deck.
We have always wanted to visit this area and this was the perfect opportunity. And Mark was a great host and had everything ready for us. The Victorian house was beautifully decorated with plenty of room for my husband and I to have our own space but also had a great, relaxing time together in the sunroom. I loved the claw foot tub-such a nice historical touch. Also the master bedroom was very spacious with a very comfortable bed and a nice porch out to the side where we had a perfect view of the river. We enjoyed using the new appliances in the kitchen . All of the dishes and pots and pans were new so it made for a very enjoyable meal. It was a beautiful sunny day so eating outside on the lovely deck was a real treat. Also it was so nice to be able to walk down Main Street and grab some ice cream. Our Golden Doodle came with us and after exploring, made herself right at home. We would recommend anyone who is looking for a relaxing weekend to stay here
A perfect balance of historic feel with new amenities! My family spent the weekend here for a break from reality and it was just what we needed. The four main bedrooms gave us plenty of space and comfy beds for all of us to have our own space, including our dog. My wife and I were able to relax, read, and work in the main living room while our kids had the best time in the sunroom with the huge couch and all the windows. The outdoor spaces offered just as much space for hanging out and eating. Our dog particularly loved sitting on the front porch while my wife read on the hanging bench. They weren't exaggerating when they say the trail is two minutes from the front door. We could see the park/trailhead from the front porch and the trail to the St. Croix Visitor Center was paved. Easy walk to down-town St. Croix, you could never drive if you didn't want to. Taylors Falls is a 5 minute drive as well!

All at the same time trying to save and pay for their college. I work for a nonprofit and have been a youth ministry for over 20 years.
