I stayed at Shemi's place for a couple of weeks while looking for a place to rent. My stay was quite pleasant overall. The bed is extremely comfortable, kitchen is well-equipped, so it was easy enough to cook a couple of meals. I appreciated the complimentary tea bags, water and protein bars. The host was very responsive. The street where the house is located is quiet and peaceful. One thing that I liked about the neighborhood was the Jamaican food and grocery stores with lots of fresh food and vegetables. That being said, my first impression of the neighborhood wasn't great, since there's quite a lot of thrash on the street and people can be loud, but after a while I started feeling fully comfortable while walking around. The only thing that people should be aware of is that the place is beneath a house with young kids who might wake you up by running around early in the morning. Wasn't a problem for me since I came from Europe and would naturally wake up at 6am.

I had a great stay. It's a beautiful, clean, and comfortable space with beautiful amenities. It's like a 5 star hotel with the added benefit of being completely private. The host was very responsive and helpful. I'll definitely stay here again.

Shemi’s place is a home away from home. It’s easy to access and perfect for a long weekend. The space is completely private and it feels like a nice little apartment. The only thing is since you are in the basement I slept with ear plugs because of the foot traffic right over head.
