Charming two bed cottage having just undergone refurbishment, situated next door to Epping Forest, and a Children's playground. Less than a minute's walk to Queens Road which has the quaint village feel with an array of boutiques, restaurants & cafes and is a safe area. Buckhurst Hill Tube (Central Line Zone 5) under 2 mins away, will have you in Central London in 20 mins. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking. Super fast wiFi, Smart TV with Netflix, linen/bath towels provided. The property, “Contented Cottage” is a semi-detached 2 bedroom bungalow built circa 1880. For those with mobility issues there is a steep step (one) as you enter the property. The master bedroom is a double bed with fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom is bunk beds, and has a dedicated workspace area (curved desk and office chair). All mattresses have toppers for extra comfort. The kitchen is fully stocked where you have the option to make your favourite meals on your stay. Also a dulce gusto coffee machine for your use, along with some coffee pods. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Towels/bath mat, soap, shampoo, conditioner all provided. The courtyard garden is very pretty in the summer and un-overlooked. Kirsty’s cottage was the perfect place! Not only was it clean and homely but there was the added touches of some snacks, milk and a bottle of fizz! Everything has been thought of to make it a great stay. What a great location - a minutes walk if that to the local high street. Any questions Kirsty is super responsive. I can’t tell you how perfect this place is and will become our regular to book and stay when we are back down visiting!
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was warm and comfortable. Everything was catered for, easy to access and so near the central line. Easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants.
Kirsty has a wonderful cottage that made us feel right at home. The cottage has recently been refurbished and includes most anything you could want or need. The small patio in the back is very beautiful and private - a wonderful way to enjoy lunch or afternoon tea. The shower is fantastic - lots of water pressure. We hired a car and we found the cottage easy to access from the main roads even though it still has a very private feel. I have been both a renter and an Airbnb owner for a long time. Kirsty is probably one of the most communicative people I have ever worked with. She gave us all the information we needed, ahead of time, and was thoughtful enough to advise us how to use the Central Line (the train) to London, where to do our shopping, etc. She even baked us lemon cake and had some other snacks and beverages available for us. She was very respectful of our time there, yet very hospitable. I would highly recommend staying at Kirsty's cottage :)
Thanks for an awesome stay
Kirsty was an excellent host. The check in and check out process was seamless with no hassle. The cottage was very quaint and ideal for us which was a family of four ( 2 teenagers). It was clean and had all the necessities for our 1 week stay. The location was superb as it was walking distance to all amenities (including a nice pub). Would highly recommend this place. I will be sure to book again for next years visit.

Car not needed. Easy public transport access with the Tube and buses. Walk to the Station platform in under 2 minutes. There is on street parking and a visitors permit will be provided for you stay. Please do ask for one.
